That’s it! You people have stood in my way long enough. I’m going to clown college! I'd thank you not to refer to Full Sail that way!

You can argue that some of the "homegrown" talent gets featured too, and that's fair, but guys like Enzo&Cass, Breeze, Bayley, Banks and a few others would have become fairly successful on the indie scene regardless of NXT.. I am going to disagree with you there. I don't see Enzo doing much of anything on the Indie scene except for maybe as a manager. Also Bayley being on that list is a bit weird... I mean she wasn't super indy stand out or anything but it's not like she was a complete unknown.

I am so very confused by what your argument actually is.
People like NXT simply because it's a well written TV show that books people to their strengths, hides their weaknesses, listens to the fanbase and has simple, logical storytelling that takes wrestling back to its basics.
It, along with Lucha Underground, also prove that wrestling fans will not always complain about shows. If the quality is good the fans will say so. It also proves that wrestling fans do not only like wrestlers that came from the independent scene too.

What does ANY of this have to do with the Gin Blossoms?

For whatever reason, people like to apply the "homegrown" or "from scratch" label to performers who wrestled indies for a bit but didn't become stars or do much more than local/regional promotions.

I understand adding homegrown to people that never did much more than local and some regional bits but Bayley wrestled in Shimmer which is pretty up there in terms of Indy notoriety.

Regarding Bayley & Banks - that's why I said "Plus most of them already some experience on the indie scene and weren't exactly starting from scratch." They were actually doing pretty well for themselves on the scene before WWE picked them up. And no doubt having Del Ray as a trainer helped out quite a bit.

When has anyone acted like he did it without WWE's financial backing? The complaint here confuses me as I've legit never seen this said on this board or elsewhere. One of these days I or we or someone needs to make a hypothetical thread of what if Dixie Carter was charge of developmental with the same funding HHH is receiving It would just mean Vince russo would be getting a raise.

When asked about how he got NXT to the level it's currently at, HHH responded,
"It was all hustle, no luck."

Cheeseburger and Will Ferrara are gonna get signed before Roderick Strong? Cheeseburger's NXT name will be BLT. What's McChicken doing in the Impact Zone!

What does ANY of this have to do with the Gin Blossoms? Well, he wants to know what's so impressive about NXT, and he wants to hear it from us.

Yeah and while I'd argue that Bayley (and Sasha) is the one indy female that has actually had better matches in the WWE than she has on the independent scene to call her a homegrown star is still a little odd. Where do you draw the line then? If she is then so is Peyton Royce and Emma. Then do you include Billie Kay and Becky Lynch too? If them then Paige as well... It all confuses the issue.

This is like saying "everyone's acting like I'm actually Frank Zappa", when no one is acting that way. I wish everyone would stop asking me about MF Doom.

This is like saying "everyone's acting like I'm actually Frank Zappa", when no one is acting that way. Will you stop recording all those albums, then? And wipe that moustache off your face. Have you done that with a sharpie?
