Triple H is backed by Vince's unlimited funds to build the best facilities and hire every single Indy darling from around the world. People are acting like he build it up not under under the WWE banner without Vince's funds to where it is today.

I do agree with people acting like NXT was built from zero is alittle weird.
Buuuuut....You're going about this with the wrong tone.

It's not the money, it's the talent scouting and booking that's impressive about it.
I get the sinking feeling your opinion wont be swayed here though.

Those indy darlings bust their ass to make NXT an entertaining product even though they know that they're too good for developmental and are already just as good if not better than most of the main roster.

I think liking the product has a lot more to do with it than Triple H's hardcore indy band business skills.

When has anyone acted like he did it without WWE's financial backing? The complaint here confuses me as I've legit never seen this said on this board or elsewhere.

People loves it because it is wrestling and it is not TNA and they do not have to see the same five wrestlers every week like they do when they watch Raw. WWE is signing all the top Indy stars in the US, by this time next year, ROH is going to have four wrestlers, Jay Lethal , Rodrick Strong and the Briscoe Brothers.

It's not just the indy stars that make it good. Dana Brooke is pretty much the anti-indy star, she's new to wrestling and started off rather painfully green, but thanks to good booking and good training her mini-feud with Asuka has been far more compelling than the Bella drama on the main show, and she's becoming really entertaining as a character and in the ring. And that's just one example. Pretty much everyone has their strengths played to and it leads to an excellent show.

This is like saying "everyone's acting like I'm actually Frank Zappa", when no one is acting that way.

Possibly confusing with it being creatively independent rather than financially? That's the only thing I can possibly think of that'd hint at this kind of argument.

When it comes to Cheeseburger, they're going to realize he's dead and they've been sending out a corpse to wrestle ever since Bob put him through a table.

The most of love for NXT shows just how bad the main show is handled and how low the bar is set in the WWE Universe.
Not to say NXT isn't a fun show, because it is, but really its the contrast to RAW that makes it even more interesting that it normally would be.
NXT is 1 hour - RAW is 3: The show feels quicker and snappier and you have less time to get bored or annoyed by a particular character. It also translates to simpler storylines so the writing staff isn't doing overly convoluted BS like they normally do.
NXT doesn't have a "Cena" type guy who is just there and dominates everyone because he's THE GUY for NXT. That alone makes the show feel fresher than anything RAW had going for it.
Beyond that they basically have the funds to create a "Super Indie" TV show that looks well produced.
You can argue that some of the "homegrown" talent gets featured too, and that's fair, but guys like Enzo&Cass, Breeze, Bayley, Banks and a few others would have become fairly successful on the indie scene regardless of NXT. NXT was just a good springboard for them. Plus most of them already some experience on the indie scene and weren't exactly starting from scratch.
At its core its still the same WWE production though, but with enough differences from RAW to make it seem like its not to many.

I mean, it wasn't built from nothing but to go from FCW where they barely drew small crowds to what NXT has become is absolutely impressive.
As for the show itself, it was pretty fantastic in 2014. This year, its been less impressive on a weekly basis. That being said, it's still enjoyable because it's logical. For the most part, they don't insult their fans and the show flows very well. Since it's only an hour, nobody gets overexposed and it keeps things fresh.

One of these days I or we or someone needs to make a hypothetical thread of what if Dixie Carter was charge of developmental with the same funding HHH is receiving
