I doubt Punk would have embarrassed WWE as their top babyface, he probably would have done a good job with people he appeals to. But the key word is "people he appeals to", which I'm not among as I still find him insufferably annoying regardless of his role. Between the two, I'll take the less irritating "buzz word cyborg". Well thanks to WWE's tunnel vision, he's the only one available to take. Thank God. Let's party, then. (language)

Daniel Bryan could've. Still could. That's if he's physically ready to anyways. CM Punk could still come back and instantly reach that level too.

Much of the problem is that the supporting wrestlers are basically treated as ineffective garbage as well. Hogan had Andre, Savage, Warrior, and Undertaker. Austin and Rock had Undertaker and Triple-H. Even Cena had Edge and Triple-H. Reigns has guys clearly not going over him very much.

There won't be one after either(in terms of Hogan/Austin/Rock). Or another "boom period" but what about a New Nation? There is a new one, yes there is.
