So I'm watching NXT for the first time in a while...a Nia Jax match. Never saw her, so was trying to figure out her ethnicity. At first I thought Brazilian or perhaps mixed black/white. Then she did a Samoan Drop, and immediately I assumed she was Samoan. Then I immediately felt quite racist, only to Google and find out I was right.
Four questions. 1) Have any non-Samoans ever did a Samoan Drop? 2) If so, was it still called a Samoan Drop? Or perhaps a Caucasian Drop? Or maybe in The Rock's case, Half Samoan/Half Black Drop? 3) Have any Samoans ever NOT used the Samoan Drop? 4) When a member of the Anoa'i family is born, do they get a spanking, or do they immediately super kick the doctor and Samoan Drop them?

Pretty sure other people have used the Samoan drop, and it's just been called that... since I mean you don't have to be German to do a German suplex.

Tatanka's finisher is a Samoan Drop called the End of the Trail. Members of the Anoa'i family get into contact sports just like other Samoans tend to do. The difference is that they tend to flock to pro wrestling even if taking other career paths.

When Tatanka did it they (Monsoon,Vince) called it a fall away slam.

IRS finisher was a Samoan Drop. I thought it was that jumping clothesline that was called the Write Off?

Besides, excluding the big ones, like Savages' elbow, Hogan's leg drop, Jake's DDT, etc... who honestly remembers the finishers of most of the guys from the Rock n Wrestling era?

Well I remembered IRS' in particular because he did use it in several matches in the old PPV's I've seen, beating 1-2-3 Kid with it for example. That and he was in either the old Royal Rumble or WrestleMania game for the Megadrive and it was included on that.

I think it was Royal Rumble... and IRS was a playable character. I always played as him, for some reason. Always was one of my underrated favorites since.

I remember all 80's finishers...much more than any from later years.

I remember the Market Crash, but don't really remember the "Big Write Off" other than the name. Weird.

Y'all getting things confused. IRS's finisher was a running, diving clothesline called the Write Off. When he was Micheal (VK) Wallstreet, he used a Samoan Drop called the Market Crash.

He also had an STF at some point. At any rate, Rotunda was awesome.
As for others, Scott Steiner has done them off the turnbuckle, as well as Kanyon and I think Sting.
Additionally, Viscera did the Samoan Drop as one of his signature moves.

IRS finisher was a Samoan Drop. Little known fact IRS actually invented the Samoan drop,Afa & Sika got jealous so one night Afa got IRS drunk and they had a winner take all game of Battleship for the patented maneuver which IRS won but he was such a great guy(and because he was winning more matches with his clothesline) he gave the Samoan people the move & they bestowed the honor of high chief to the taxman.
