Could a WWE vs. NJPW Supercard sell out the dome? Cena Vs Okada or Tanahashi could sell it out....throw Taker Vs. Muta on there too for added bonus too.

Problem with a WWE vs New Japan Supershow is that WWE will insist on winning out and the wins New Japan gets will likely be against guys with no value in beating like The Social Outcasts and Fandango. No way WWE will let a New Japan talent go over one of their brand names and have them be made to look inferior. Sanada's new look and gear from today's show

New Japan have previous for that too. The UWF-i feud in the mid 90's is the perfect example of that. Only Takada was treated as a threat, and the entire angle served to discredit him (and therefore UWF-i) by having him doing jobs to perceived 'fake' wrestlers in Mutoh and Hashimoto. Even the supershow New Japan did with All Japan a few years ago was filled with obvious finishes to keep everyone important strong. As a result, any kind of supercard with WWE would just be filled full of politics on both sides.
It would be a mess.
With regards to selling out the dome, it would probably be as close as they could get nowadays. Back in their heyday it was something they could do, but that was in the most popular era of wrestling in Japanese history, and for the biggest and best shows, like Inoki's retirement.
EDIT: With proper build and a good undercard however, I could see a Devitt/KENTA headlined NXT show selling out Budokan (16,500 attendance) with a very good Shinsuke match below that, such as vs. Aries.

Yeah, Sanada isn't going to be a junior.
He really could be major player in NJPW in time.

Hopefully not. He was very promising in All Japan when he was younger, but he never progressed past that, and at this point, he's really not great in the ring. He's hopefully a decent addition to Los Ingobernables de Japon, but that's it. Could see him getting a tag reign with EVIL at some point.

I'll reserve judgement tbh.
Admittedly, I haven't seen his stuff since TNA but I had heard he was doing good stuff in Big Japan lately. He came in with a great debut, has a great look, and is attached to the best thing going in wrestling today.
I'll give him a shot before writing him off.

As I told a friend, Sanada is one of the most okay wrestlers I've ever seen. But who knows, maybe he'll impress. I'm interested to see what he does.

Can see why they did, a number of promotions also cancelled their shows because of the Earthquakes that happened there.

I don't think they had much choice but to cancel it. Tragically, it sounds like the area was heavily impacted by the earthquake. Best wishes to everyone impacted.

On a lighter note, Tama Tonga set the record straight that his brother's name is Tanga Loa, which is how Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino pronounced it. The New Japan website has it as Tanga Roa.

Don't know what they're going to do about the Hino Kuni show, there was some big matches on it like Shibata vs Nagata and Omega vs Elgin.
Maybe after The BOSJ and before Dominion they can do it?

Easy: do it at Dontaku 4 days later Cancel the NEVER 6-Man tag match and just add Elgin/Omega and Shibata/Nagata. Done and done.

I get the impression Sanada is gonna be the YOSHI-HASHI of LIDJ.
Not terrible. Not great. Just kind of there.

Looks like the title matches that were scheduled for the canceled Hi no Kuni show will now be on Dontaku.

Was going to put off ordering the de Japon shirt for a bit but probably going to do it tonight.

I feel like the "De Japon" just looks like it was pasted on to the normal logo, plus, I prefer the "Out Of Control, Hard To Regulate, Anything Goes" design on the regular one.

I want an Ishii shirt and a Los shirt but they're both black. Too many black wrestling shirts
