Holy crap, RIP Lemmy. Truly thought he'd live forever. Still live my life to his great advice in Overkill, only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud!

Motörhead appeared on my favourite episode of The Young Ones.
A great loss to music

Appears that he died from a form of cancer they discovered only two days ago. That's crazy.
Not super familiar with their entire discography but I always dug this tune
RIP

In school everybody listened to pop music and, apart from the odd song, I never really liked it much. Discovering Motorhead (along with a few other bands) showed me that there was plenty of music out there that I did enjoy, it just wasn't getting played on the radio all the time. I still end up with at least one of their songs in every playlist I make.
RIP doesn't really feel like it fits, so I'll just say Thank You, Lemmy.

Appears that he died from a form of cancer they discovered only two days ago. That's crazy. Sorta knew the end was nearing over the past year - he's had several health issues during it, but for it to be something out of the blue is a bit of a shock.

He lived to 70 with a life that we could only imagine. Hail To The King.

I generally don't react physically to the deaths of celebrities, but when I saw this I involuntarily gasped out a "no".
2015, you've really sucked.

Lemmy, Dimebag, John Bonham, and Bon Scott are probably having one hell of a jam session on the other side right about now. Rock In Peace, Lemmy.

Without a doubt, he is possibly the most iconic man in both Rock n Roll and Heavy Metal. The man is regularly considered God and he lived a life that most could only dream of.
And he lived it louder than everything else.
Thank you Lemmy. I don't think a celebrity death has hit me this hard since Ronnie James Dio.
Behold the King, the King of Kings. There is only one.

Damn...
I love that he loved music, and not just in the genre that he tended to work in but the music he grew up with. That's why the HeadCats came about, because he wanted to honour the music that formed him.
Rest in peace, Lemmy.

I guess the bright side is that when I meet my maker, this band will be playing...
But if I could be serious for a second (God knows that won't happen) lets take a moment to remember the cause Lemmy worked for...
