This is a hard one to pick. I am favoring Carolina at the moment, Cam is a f***ing beast. Then again, the Broncos D aren't no slouches either. Peyton isn't what he used to be, but I wouldn't be surprised if he could pull a rabbit out of a had. Then you have the memories of 2 years ago where Peyton shit the bed. Or this:

The only thing that makes me feel slightly comfortable is the fact that Peyton is beat up and not at all what he used to be. Who knows what "medications" he's taking before the game, though.
Also, if New England's offensive line had bothers to show up in the AFC championship game, I honestly don't think the Broncos would've made it.

Speaking of the O-line, according to the MMQB, the Pats used 37 different O-line combinations, which AFAIK, is the most for a team in recent years.

This is going to come off as more insulting than it is, but I'd rather the Broncos and Peyton Manning be the ones fed to the wolves than the Patriots and Tom Brady.
The Broncos had the right gameplan for the AFC Championship Game and the Patriots simply didn't adjust to it and that's why Denver is in the Super Bowl and New England is sitting at home. But watching the NFC Championship Game later that night was a realization that even if the Patriots survived and defeated the Broncos, they were lambs being led to slaughter against the Panthers.
In that way, it reminds me of the 2013-14 season and Super Bowl XLVIII. Of course I wanted the Patriots to beat the Broncos and advance to the Super Bowl but after watching the way the Broncos were beaten from pillar to post and the way Peyton Manning wet himself in front of a worldwide audience, I'd rather it be them than us, because the 2013 Seahawks would have manhandled the 2013 Patriots in much the same way they did Denver. I just don't think Brady would have crapped his pants the way Manning did from the very first snap.
But that gets us back to Super Bowl 50. Denver's defense is good enough that they'll keep the Broncos in the game and keep it close but Carolina's defense is also miles better than anything Manning or the Broncos offense has seen this season. It feels like one of those games where the final score won't be indicative of how one-sided of a game it was, kind of like Super Bowl XXXI. In that game, Green Bay won 35-21 and actually trailed 14-10 at the end of the first quarter, but trust me, as someone who watched that game, it wasn't as close as the score indicates. The Packers trounced the Patriots, the final score just made the game seem respectable. It feels like Denver will keep the game within one or two scores until the very end but they'll never really put a legitimate scare in the Panthers.

I get the hype makes the NFL a lot of money but I am already sick of the Super Bowl and my team is in it. I guess part of that is hearing from damn near everyone how we may well not bother existing after 11:59:59pm on Saturday but my God, I just want to watch football and now I am not sure I even want to see that. Every year seems to get worse and worse too. Hopefully that changes by Sunday but damn I hate the hype.

I love it when my team is in the Super Bowl because it's two weeks of build-up and excitement and also two weeks of everyone around the world kissing your ass and telling you how great you are. For me, the nerves of actually watching the Super Bowl don't normally kick in until the day before. But the 13 or so days before are among my favorite of the year because it's all celebration and hype. That's why I hated last year so much because the NFL leaked intentionally false and damaging information to their toads in the media in an attempt to undermine the Patriots' season and accomplishments and it effectively cast a pall over what are normally my two favorite weeks of the year. But aside from that, the two weeks of hype prior to the Super Bowl - when my team is in it - are consistently among my favorite weeks of the sporting calendar.

I just switch off from the end of the Championship games until the Superbowl because the over-the-top hype and showbiz element of the buildup annoys me. I have a quick look at NFL.com everyday but wont bother watching anything until just before kickoff this Sunday. Also it depresses me that after this game there are 7 NFL-less months to endure

In a particularly baffling decision, Lady Gaga will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl 50.

Broncos 20, Panthers 13
#1 scoring offense, for the umpteenth time, spits the bit on Super Sunday. We've seen this before- DEFENSE. WINS. CHAMPIONSHIPS. Period.
And Carolina and their cocky selves are about to get a taught a lesson in humility.

And Carolina and their cocky selves are about to get a taught a lesson in humility. SCORING PER GAME Denver - 4th (18.5) Carolina - 6th (19.3) PASSING YARDS PER GAME Denver - 1st (199.6) Carolina - 11th (234.5) RUSHING YARDS PER GAME Denver - 3rd (83.6) Carolina - 4th (88.4) TOTAL YARDS PER GAME Denver - 1st (283.1) Carolina - 6th (322.9) You're right. Defense wins championships. And that's why I'm going to predict a Panthers victory in Super Bowl 50. By any metric, the Panthers are an extremely balanced team. These aren't the Air Coryell Chargers or the Run and Shoot Oilers or the No-Huddle Bills. They can win in a myriad of ways, whether it's 41-38 or 20-9. As for teams being cocky or having a lack of humility, have you met some of the members of the Denver Broncos? Not to say that the Panthers' roster is loaded with choir boys, but let's not ignore Von Miller, Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., or T.J. Ward.

Panthers 49, Broncos 3. Denver's D cannot keep up with Newton and the Panthers offense, and Manning is likely to fold under the same pressure that Seattle brought at 48. This game will not be competitive.

I'm sure Seth and others will remember that post I think I don't need to remember this one since the bigger one was that he predicted both Arizona and Carolina would be one and done while the NFC Championship would feature a combination of NYG/GB/SEA. He has been a joke since that "guarantee" was proven wrong. Now it's just sad and pathetic that he keeps trying.

And Chef John from Food Wishes predicts that the Panthers may win the Super Bowl, using chicken wing bones:
Since the online version came up in SB45, John is 3-2, with the only losses being SB47 and SB49.
Whenever John misses, he would try to handwave it; he predicted that the 49ers would win (since the bones formed an "S", as in San Francisco), but after the Ravens won, he later said that the "S" was actually an "H", as in Harbaugh, and that the "H" was larger, meaning that the older Harbaugh (John, as in the Ravens) had won.
The bones formed a "P", which could either mean "Panthers" or "Peyton".

I have to admit, with almost everyone picking Carolina.......it's making me kinda nervous about us failing to meet those expectations of winning.
