They should've gone with the blues, its a better look IMO. Carolina should also go mono-black for the game. Teams are not allowed to wear alternate uniforms in the playoffs. Therefore, Denver only had the option of orange or white. While Carolina only had the option of black after Denver's decision, they couldn't wear their Carolina Blue alternate. It's Super Bowl 50.....they should make an exception.

Anyone think that this can turn out like SB40, with the following comparisons: - Peyton's Last Rodeo = "Win One for the Bus"
- The designated home team wears their white/away jerseys (2005 Steelers, 2015 Broncos)
- Broncos' fanbase is larger than the Panthers' by a considerable margin, and thus, could be a home game for them, as they might occupy at least 70 percent of the seats; they also live closer to California than the Panthers
All that's missing is some refs that could be biased towards the Broncos (i.e., having penalties called against the Panthers), and the circle would be complete. How were the Seahawks portrayed in the buildup to SB40?

Two more firsts for 50:
Gary Kubiak will be the first person to play for and later coach the same team in the Super Bowl. This will mark the first time the number 1 and 2 overall draft picks of a draft play each other in the Super Bowl (Cam and Von Miller, 2011 Draft)

I've never heard that rule. I can't recall an instance of a team wearing an alt, but the 49ers wore their throwbacks in Super Bowl 29.

Clete Blakeman to serve as referee for Super Bowl 50Blakeman was responsible for two of the most recent coin toss incidents (Pats vs. Jets, Packers vs. Cards), and was one of the alternate refs for the Deflategate game. He also reffed the Pats-Panthers game in 2013 on Monday Night. With Blakeman as the ref, the Broncos are 5-0 and the Panthers are 2-2.

I cant stand Manning. IMO I feel he's a decent quarterback but made into this over the top GOD thanks to NFL/ESPN hype. I can't even take his division titles seriously because the divisions were mangled when he did it (I know a wins a win, but still).
Kubiak is the HC. That in itself has negative connotations, but Wade makes up for it like he did in Houston.
Carolina's defense is stout. I think they hold on this one.
Panthers take their 1st Super Bowl, and Cam dabs on the world.

Anything's possible in the Super Bowl. Though I think either team can win a close game, it's much more likely that Carolina wins in a blowout versus Denver doing the same, if only because their offense is explosive and Denver's... isn't.
Still, it isn't like two years ago where you had Best Offense with an ok defense (Denver) vs. Best Defense with a good offense on top of it (Seattle). Both teams are really good defensively. And everyone approaches the Super Bowl differently.
I think Carolina wins, but don't rule out Denver. Stranger things have happened in February.

I picking the Broncos because most everybody I know think it's going to be a lopsided win for the Panthers.
It's one of those games where it feels so obvious that you have to go the other way. I also think it's going to be some wacky score like 23-18

The more I think about this game and the officiating staff going into this game, the more I am dreading that the refs are going to go all in on helping Denver winning. Now before I get Denver fans jumping down my throats, I don't think this because Denver isn't good enough. I just think the league is going to be way too desperate to give Manning his ring on the way out that they will make damn sure it happens.
If Denver wins on their own, I will be okay. But if the refs make this about them and help Denver, I don't know if I am going to be able to stomach it.

My early prediction is Josh Norman for Super Bowl MVP.

Alright, I know it's a week before, but since it's all the rage, I'm gonna use Madden to sim the Super Bowl. I'm using Madden 25, but I've got the updated rosters, so it should be fairly close to up to date. 15 minute quarters, so we'll see who comes out on top! I should have the results posted later after simulation.

And now, Lupin the Third presents: THE SIMULATIONPanthers start off with the ball, but can’t really do anything with it. Broncos get the ball off the punt, and are moving down field. But Peyton throws it up, and it’s picked off! The Panthers start to work all the way down the field, and Newton goes to Olsen, his tight end, but a big hit drops the big guy, and IT’S A FUMBLE!!! And the Broncos recover a rare fumble by the Panthers, and Olsen is hurt on the play. The Broncos start to roll down the field, but it’s the end of the 1st and we’re all tied up. After 1: Panthers 0, Broncos 0Right at the start of the second, Peyton goes up top, and gets a HUGE catch from Caldwell, and he’s taken down at the one! First and goal, and Peyton finds Sanders for the touchdown!! Broncos strike first and it’s 7-0 Denver. Both teams continue to trade the ball back and forth, and the only other points are a field goal for Denver. So at the half, the favorites are down and in a position they haven’t been in for a while. Broncos control the yardage 151 to 136, but the Panthers have held the ball longer, 19:21 to 10:39. But they haven’t been able to capitalize on much other than that. One main stat to watch is 3rd down conversions. Carolina has been an underwhelming 2-7 on 3rd down, but Denver is struggling, going 0-5 on 3rd down. Halftime: Panthers 0, Broncos 10Broncos start off with the ball, but on second down, Peyton goes down field, and HE’S PICKED OFF AGAIN!! Panthers are able to finally capitalize and drive down field to get in the endzone, as Newton hits Olsen for 46 yards and the TD! After another 3 and out, the Panthers get the ball back. They get it down the field, but can’t get it in the endzone, so they settle for 3 and we’re all knotted up again. The Broncos continue to try and get things going, but can’t really get anything going. The Panthers continue to drive, though, as we come to the end of the third quarter. After 3: Panthers 10, Broncos 10The Panthers continue to drive, and Newton nails Fuchness for the Touchdown!! The Panthers take the lead for the first time all game! The Broncos start to gain traction, but once again, another drive falls short, and they punt it back. A key receiver for Cam today has been Greg Olsen, even after his first quarter injury and fumble, he’s fought back and had a great day, with 5 receptions for 93 yards and 1 TD so far. They continue to move the ball, but their drive ends short of the endzone as well. But Gano is able to add 3 more points, putting them up by 10 with just under 6 minutes to go! But the Broncos work their way down field, and are within range of scoring. But they seem to have taken much off the clock, and they’re close with just over a minute left. The Panthers take an injury timeout, as Kuechly gets hurt. 3rd and goal, Peyton rolls out, being chased, and he finds Demariyus Thomas for the touchdown!! They are within 3 with 1:08 left!! They go for the onside kick, and they completely botch it, as it goes right to Greg Olsen. Panthers move it up a little more, and Gano hits another one, and Carolina goes up by 6 with 0:49 left in the game! Peyton throws it down field, and NEARLY gets picked off on first down. Peyton goes downfield again, and HE’S PICKED OFF FOR THE THIRD TIME TODAY!! Cam kneels it down, and the CAROLINA PANTHERS ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!! Final Score: Panthers 23, Broncos 17The Panthers made all the right changes at the half, and they just dominated this second half, outscoring Denver, 23-7. The passing yards were almost equal, with Denver having 256 yards to Carolina’s 255. However, the rushing attack was the key here, as Carolina dominated on the ground with 126 yards to Denver’s 45 yards. Carolina also dominated the Time of Possession, holding the ball 35:44 to Denver’s 24:16, having possession nearly 12 minutes more than Denver. 3rd down conversion was so-so, as Carolina ended with 4-12 on 3rd down, and Denver was 2-10 on third down. But the big thing here was those 3 turnovers for Denver. The Game MVP is a sure thing, as Cam Newton was nearly perfect. He threw 20/27 for 262 yards, 2 TDs, and no INTs. He also ran the ball 9 times for 54 yards. Another big story is the possibility that this is the Last Hurrah for Peyton Manning. This was his 4th Super Bowl, but was unable to pick up his second ring.

This is a hard one to pick. I am favoring Carolina at the moment, Cam is a f***ing beast. Then again, the Broncos D aren't no slouches either. Peyton isn't what he used to be, but I wouldn't be surprised if he could pull a rabbit out of a had.
Then you have the memories of 2 years ago where Peyton shit the bed.
