Never thought I'd see it. Awesome. He didn't do much to be fair but great introduction to the big time considering. Love how on that fan footage the crowd just goes nuts when the word phenomenal comes up. Pretty hyped for all the potential matches he can have.

The best part was his demeanour out there. He had that presence that he didn't need WWE, WWE needed him. That he was there for the big paycheques and isn't intimidated or big leagued by the WWE.
Thats why he's the best in the world.

He was a pinball in there for his entire run.
Can't wait to see what he does for his first true feud.

He legit could have just sat in the corner eating a sandwich until he got eliminated and it would have changed nothing.
That's how good his intro was.

rare botch in camera work for his entrance. could have been awesome with tron complimenting huge pop
but think about it. they kept his name, his logo, straight to main roster even after the ridiculous TNA story a day earlier, teased his controversial finisher, built him up via commentary
this is the same guy they low-balled few years ago

He bumped huge for a ton of people. Dude is here with his A game, but that's always the case with AJ. He looked great and everyone he touched looked great too. I'm watching again currently just to see him do his thing. That theme is a main event theme if I've ever heard one!

My friend is a casual fan (not saying that as an insult at all) and he was just immediately loving AJ Styles, like to the point I think he may be his new favorite.

Maybe I'm just a big ol' mark for the guy, but it seemed to me everything he did was on another level compared to everyone else in the ring. His first one on one match (probably tomorrow) will be something to see.

As much hate as the commentary gets, I thought all three commentators did their part to put him over as a big deal (fairly quickly!) JBL had the line that associated him with Lesnar, Byron with the line about AJ's innovative offense, and Cole's general enthusiam likely cemented for the casual fan that AJ is here for big things.
I also think it was an excellent idea to have him debut against Reigns. If Reigns is the anointed King, it was smart to have AJ come in and stand toe to toe with him for a bit. Solid booking.
Basically everything about the debut (including AJ himself of course) was great...and this is coming from someone who was kind of lukewarm on him thanks to the stench TNA tends to leave on a lot of guys.
The lone exception for the greatness was that dreadful camera cut. I'd be pretty pissed if I was the boss, and my director botched such a crucial shot. They could have easily cut between Reigns' confused face, the appearence of "I am.." on the tron, Reigns face again, and then another cut back to "Phenomenal" as the crowd erupted.

JBL won tonight
"Former IWGP champion"
that's not going streamline well to the casual audience
"Same as Brock Lesnar"
That will

After watching AJ Styles for over a decade, through VHS tapes, DVDs, online, a Florida territory TV show, etc. and now seeing him practically get the loudest pop of the night in one of the biggest and signature WWE's PPV shows, couldn't be happier for any other wrestler than AJ. He is the definition of "earning it". Now just curious, who is the biggest star in the US to never go to WWE with Sting debuting in fall of 2014, AJ Styles now in WWE, who is now "the guy" who hasn't gone East to the WWE?

I think that final question deserves a thread of its own. Since it's US specific, that's a tough one for big names that are even left.
