You see it all the time, with DVD covers hyping an actor in their film, only to realize they were insanely young and inexperienced, or actually only in the film for five minutes (Daggone you, Rubberface featuring [not starring] young Jim Carrey!). The biggest one I usually notice is that weird Dungeons and Dragons is 'evil' movie that Tom Hanks did. They plaster him all over the cover, almost at various ages. a Jennifer Aniston's first movie was Leprechaun. Kevin Bacon's was the first Friday the 13thAnimal House. George Clooney was in Return of the Killer Tomatoes.
But the actual real reason I create this thread...is this video:
Fin-tastic.

I thought this was going to be about normal day jobs. Like Harrison Ford was a carpenter or Brad Pitt was a waiter.

Surprised no one has re-released Breakin' with the cover stating "starring Jean-Claude Van Damme".
I remember buying an 80s film called Playing for Keeps on DVD a few years back. I first watched it in the late 80s and have a soft spot for it mainly due to the soundtrack. It's not exactly a masterpiece but there are two notable things about it. First, it's Directed by Harvey and Bob Weinstein (I don't think they ever actually directed another film) and it stars a young Marisa Tomei. It was made a good five years before My Cousin Vinny (i.e before most people knew who she was) and there's no one else really that well-known in it (except maybe Harold Gould). So when it was released on DVD some time in the mid-00s, the cover has a huge shot of Marisa Tomei on it and five other actors in the background (one of which is Marisa Tomei again). She's credited about fifth in the cast but even so, she's not in it that much. It's just the other people in it are relatively unknown.

Jason Alexander's first movie was the horror cult classic "The Burning"... Also a young Holly Hunter and Fisher Stevens appear in The Burning. It was one of the first films the Weinsteins distributed.

How am I the first one to say this?
"The Party at Kitty and Stud's". Better known under its re-release title "The Italian Stallion". ...starring Sylvester Stallone. And yes, it's a softcore porn.

My favourite obscure one is Tina Fey (as well as future 30 Rock co-star Scott Adsit) doing voiceover work for the Medieval Madness pinball machine back in 1997.

Hmm, possibly, though it does fit the spirit of things in that the cover shows him looking much more like he does in that than in Thunderpants, where he has glasses and a different hairstyle. A more pure example, then.

Bryan Cranston was in a few advertisements such as one for Preparation H and did voice over work for a few of Saban's 1990's properties including a stint as a monster of the week on the first season of Power Rangers.

When DVDs were becoming more mainstream in the early 2000s a local electronic appliance shop was selling a DVD player complete with 'Fifty films featuring Hollywood's finest!'. The fact it was dirt cheap, and the pictures were a bit hazy, instantly told me that they were 'Fifty forgettable films featuring Hollywood's finest before they made it big...'
God knows if anyone was ever daft enough to buy it.
