Tonight, I learned that Aero Star is (at least!) 1000 years old.
I love this show.

Great main event, fantastic heel work by Evans, and that ending...
That was a Russo Swerve done right.

This is a show that gives me a literal 1000-year old spaceman, an actual dragon man, the personification of death in a sling (because a crazy masked guy with no fear broke his arm) watching the personification of life beat up a masked cowboy man who wears antlers to the ring, and Joey Ryan as an undercover cop with Ricky Reyes as his partner. Amazing.

Thoughts - The Kobra Moon debut was alright. Nothing spectacular, but promising enough. - I haven't seen enough of Jack Evans' body of work, but he does shithead asshole heel well. - Fun main event fight between Cuerno and Fenix. - Dat ass tho. - Been an Evans fan since his ROH days. I couldn't believe it when I read he turned down NXT for LU but upon watching the product, he really fits in in-ring wise. - Really fun main event and a great finish that looked brutal.

Main event tonight was the best match so far this season for my money. Ending spot was sick. Loved the reveal at the end too. Slightly disappointed with Kobra Moon, thought her strikes looked really weak and given the amount of editing these guys can do that's a surprise. Other than that, another great episode.
Oh, and Aero Star is a f***ing time traveller!
AND, Pentagon vs. Puma next week. Holy shit.

Ricky Reyes stopped getting booked in ROH, and became a cop.
Perfect continuity. I can run with that. I love Lucha Underground.

Loved the ending to the main event as well. Totally thought they would use the top of office spot, so it was a pleasant surprise. I look forward to every aerostar vignette, always makes me smile. I also like how in the Lucha Underground universe there are apparently roaming bands of masked men fighting people everywhere, only the strongest make it to the Temple I suppose. Great stuff!

With all these twist and turns and developments, this is becoming a Wrestling version of Game Of Thrones.

With all these twist and turns and developments, this is becoming a Wrestling version of Game Of Thrones. Its a very progressive step, and I feel after Vince dies, we might even see aspects bleed over to the E'. I thought the vignettes wpuld be corny ala TNA but pretty damn good directing/acting, very surprised. I'm officially a fan. Also its nice to see Vampiro doin well and having fun on the booth.

It helps that Robert Rodriguez, a seasoned veteran in movies and the like, is an executive producer. It really helps put forward the cinematic feel of everything.

I assumed as much seeing how Rodriguez was all over El Rey commercials and the channel basically has that Hispanic/American gritty feel to it, that's so cool to hear, Once Upon A Time in Mexico is my shit!

They gawd damn introdouced time traveling via a 1000 yr old space hopper and it could not fit in more perfectly.
Try that in any other company and you get laughed off the planet...but LU absoloute flawless intigration.

Wasn't a fan of tonight's show. The LLS match was good but the rest was just dragging. The stinger though, first cop maybe be the worst actor I've ever seen and considering this is wresting that is saying something. Then the reveal of his partner, f***.

It's amazing how all these disparate things work perfectly in LU. Serpent themed wrestlers, spacemen going to talk to the gods, and undercover cops. Love it.
Evans is doing some perfect "love to hate him" heel work. He's entertaining as f*** AND I want to see him get his ass kicked.
The last luchadore standing match was really fun too. Totally blown away by Fenixs twisting planchas and Cuernos ridiculously fast diagonal dive to the outside.

DARIO CUETO is f***ing EVERYWHERE!
Like two weeks ago I see him in an episode of Angie Tribeca. Then the Superbowl Commercial. Tonight, on the new episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".
Go JEFE!
-----
Also, Castro was an undercover cop all along! ...and his buddy cop film partner is Joey Ryan!
Um, what?!?!
Nevermind Aero Star being a time traveler!
Man, I need some time to process this weeks show.
