{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Dragon Azteca Jr is Rey Horuz who is the real life cousin of Rey Mysterio and was the second Hijo del Rey Misterio. Good episode. Not a blowaway one but kept things moving quickly and advanced storylines. Pentagon Jr continues to being the standout. He is like the lead in a spagetti western. Puma is the good guy but comes off too goody in a world filled with rat bastards. Not a fan of handicap matches with the champions taking the L but a lesser evil in the Puma/Pentagon jr saga. Cage is now beefing with Mundo. Surprised Marty has not skinned Sexy Star yet. Guess next week I get to see who is playing the role of Kobra Moon. And I guess Konnan is not coming back unless Puma learned some resurrection spells. Ressurrection spells you say.

I kind of wish they were booking PJ Black as an actual werewolf, just because I want him to bite and 'convert' Angelico...
I also love after how over the move was at Ultima Lucha, Mack is apparently using the Stunner as his finish now.

One last thing.
For the longest time, wrestling has been looking for the "Next Stone Cold".
Pentagon is THAT DUDE.

I think they are going to reach the goal of 150k viewers for this season, perhaps even above 170k viewers by UL2

The way he simultaneously subtly played to the crowd while also looking like he had CERO f***s to give, perfectly naturally. With the faith I have in LU's creative team, Pentagon should absolutely be THE MAN in North American wrestling by the end of Season 2. After all, this is a show that took one of my least favorite wrestlers (Rey Mysterio), and found a way to make him intriguing again...

They are absoloutley using him the way fans said he should be used and that is as pretty much literal chaos with the only reason for his chaos is to please his maestro. Which makes future development for Pentagon more intriguiging because at some point alot myself included have called the inevitability of Vampiro betraying Pentagon and then how Pentagon comes out of that. They already kind of laid the ground for work it with this Puma Vs Pentagon feud...one lost his guidance and the other gained guidance and who is truly better off etc.

I also love the contrast, last season we had a fighting champ, that was willing to go everyday to just prove himself.
This season the champion only moves when he has too and is basically a final boss.

I still kind of chuckle how Lucha Underground was originally just supposed to be a starter project to get AAA's foot into the US, but now it's taken on a life of itself.
And like I said last season, what I love about Lucha Underground is they take their product seriously but it embraces that this is all a big movie. They're trying to be a big promotion but aren't trying to foolishly compete with WWE. If they keep going like they are LU truly will be the number 2 promotion in North America if they aren't already.
And yes, I dunno if the plan was originally for Pentagon Jr to be the breakout star, but he's about to be the breakout star in all of wrestling.

Even moreso this season, Lucha Underground really comes off like Mortal Kombat plus wrestling. And I'm perfectly okay with that.
Also, add me to the list of people that was hoping that the Darewolf was an actual werewolf. Ah well, the season is young, they could always surprise us.

I don't think anyone expected LU to take off the way it did, reports are saying that they've had to turn away hundreds of people from The Temple at tapings because there wasn't any room.
They have what 300 fans at a show? I think they can easily get 700 or so for a taping if they get a bigger building to do it in but that'll probably cost more to finance and rent it than The Temple now.
They may start doing shows and events in places like in California and Texas soon, who knows.
