It's the reason I didn't go to Summerslam. I also read floor seats for their March to Wrestlemania show are $500! It didn't used to be this bad.

Going to random events on Ticketmaster, they don't seem any more than they've been the last several years. Of course the major shows will be more expensive and Summerslam and that Network Special from Canada probably fall under that.

Floor seats are, but I find their bleacher seating pretty fair, honestly.

Floor seats suck anyway. Unless you're front row, you're not gonna see anything.

Lower level Smackdown tickets for the show I'm attending was around $65 I think. For such a huge production, and several hours of entertainment, I had no problem paying that.

None of the shows I've been to (Royal Rumble 2012, Raw 1000, Extreme Rules 2013, random Raw in 2013) were priced too terribly. It wasn't lower level seating, but I could still see everything just fine and had a blast.
As for WrestleMania and SummerSlam, I mean... they're never going to be as cheap as the other shows.

Floor seats to the San Jose house show they're running next week cost only slightly less than what I paid for floor seats at Wrestle Kingdom. The general seating isn't too bad though.

I haven't been to a WWE show in two years, but from what I recall, I paid roughly $85 for a pretty decent seat for a RAW. They weren't floors, but they were in the 100-level and had a decent sight line.
Consider that I have sat ringside at several ROH events for $40-50.
Now, that's a bit of an apples and oranges scenario, but I do think the WWE could do with lowering some of their higher-end ticket prices.
In their defence, I do believe that they do have some very affordable "entry-level" seat options in most cities.

Floor seats suck anyway. Unless you're front row, you're not gonna see anything. Yep, people need to heed this more often. Especially at a TV taping, if you're not front row, you will likely have some schmuck nearby who will have a sign and you'll be screwed. Even without a sign they're still not the best seats because you're below the ring. Worst seats Ive ever had were 5th row facing the hard camera at a Raw. It was just a miserable experience, couldn't see the ramp, couldn't see the mat or anyone's feet and if they went outside of the ring on the other side, nothing could be seen with the people in front of me, so I ended up watching the Tron a lot that show. I'm not short either (6'1) so it doesn't really matter how tall you are. Best seats I've ever had were front row in the first set of risers just above the floor and even higher up on the 2nd tier or rows back on the first level can be really good seats depending on the arena. I've never sat near the ramp, but I did have floor seats about 20 rows behind the announce team. Those weren't the worst, but its so much better if you're above the ring. I don't even bother looking for floor seats anymore.

In terms of pricing: WrestleMania >> PPV >>> TV > House Shows
Usually, you're going to pay more to see the bigger shows (since those cards have bigger matches). To give an example, floor seats for a house show in early 2012 cost about the same as seats in the main bowl area for a Raw taping in September 2012.
And strictly speaking about price, if you want to go for the cheapest possible, you can find $30 tickets for shows.

I paid $75 for section 130 for FastLane. I paid $75 for ringside at NXT.
Last year, NXT ringside went from $55 to $65 and now $75 if I remember correctly.

The fees is what is killer. I was going to go to a house show here in houston with lesnar in it but didn't go because I was going to uber there and back from work and the arena AND i still had to pay for those damn fees so I was like nah. Its not wwe fault but I wasn't invested in the product enough to drop 150 dollars for an evening or wwe. So i bought wings and days of future's past and had a night.

I can't imagine WM would have been nearly as fun had I been on the floor. Plus being short (5'6) it's almost a necessity.

I've only ever been to like a Raw or Smackdown. Those you can usually get mid level seats for like twenty five-ish. That ain't bad.

I paid $125 for front row to a house show last year (had a few Ticketmaster gift cards that covered most of the price so it wasn't as terrible as it could've been) but yeah, I'm short (5'4'') so floor seats can be a mistake too

If people are willing to pay them, it isn't that high.

If people are willing to pay them, it isn't that high. Yep basic supply and demand Set supply of seats. If there is a higher damn then the equilibrium price will be higher(NXT/WM/Summer Slam)
