Also, didn't he keep getting hurt at the worst possible times? Luck was not on his side.

The hacker gimmick made no sense. Unless he was going to take over the arena it added nothing substantial to his presentation. Also he had one of the most bland entrance themes, which granted, is just a personal pet peeve of mine.

Poor timing. That's in, just poor timing. He's one of the absolute best in the world, and they had neither the time to commit to his character in order to develop it, nor the space to let his talents shine in one of the most over-abundant talent pools of any wrestling promotion's roster in history. I have no doubt that he'll be back at some juncture, better than ever, and it will work tremendously for all parties involved. It was definitly poor timing... but not necessarily on the E's part. Every time they started getting something for him to do something would happen to put the kibosh on it. He got injured, his father got sick (died?), his new valet was a racist shit... etc. etc. Also lack of a real Midcard in NXT did him no favors... and really doesn't do any favors to a lot of the people there.

I remember hearing roh had a new wrestler named The New Whore and I was intrigued as one would be then I saw him and was disappointed.I respect his weight loss but I've never enjoyed his work whether it be the D.U.F. stuff or his pwg work where he was over it just wasn't for me.I was shocked when wwe signed him it just didn't commute and I was right.People should really listen to me more often I'm right a lot.

I remember me and my wife being super excited for the debut of Crowe. I had never seen him before and had only read about him here, so when the hacking promo's started I got her all invested in this new talent who was going to take the company by storm.
And then he debuted.
Looked ridiculous, didn't suit the hacker thing they were going for (whatever it was, it was never explained), and his finisher was one of the worst I'd ever seen.
Bitterly disappointed, and he didn't improve from there.

His look was awful, his finisher was awful ,his mic skills were average and he wasn't good enough in the ring to make up for all that

Good wrestler, gimmick didn't reach its full potential, never got an interesting feud.
Not rocket science.

His look is just not pleasing to the eye. It just doesn't work. That was his biggest problem u thought. Needs to go back to the drawing board on that.

For me personally, I never really saw what the big deal was when he was an indie guy, and that just translated to me not liking him as an NXT guy either.

Underdeveloped and pushed to the side in favor of newer shinies, basically.

Dude looked like a troll doll in an old lady's bathing suit, and his finisher was balls. But what really did him in was just consistent timing problems; injuries before pushes, gimmick reworks tanked immediately by nazism accusations toward his valet, and the like. His visual failings just meant that people weren't clamouring for him in the absence of timing working out.
