He looked ridiculous. That was a huge thing, for me at least.

Things just never fell into place for the guy, be it his look, his moveset or his results.
He's still young, though, so there's plenty of time to get his groove back and try his luck again somewhere down the line. It's not like he burned a bridge on the way out.

Dude got named like he was an X-Men villain, got the worst gimmick in the history of mankind, looked like Taz after bathing in radiation, and had some pretty horrible luck.

He looked like a background character from the Flintstone Kids.

Never saw much of his indie work, but never saw much in him from what I did see. Dude just plain wasn't that good IMO.

He was good. He just wasn't nearly as good as the other indy guys that came to NXT. Sami, Finn, Hideo, Owens, Apollo, etc. are all much better.

No one cared about him, because we were never given an opportunity to.
WWE does this all the time. They have some great, fantastic talent on their roster with a bunch of buzz. They come in and have him win a couple of matches, and they get to do their trademark stuff. But they never give them a feud. And on a wrestling show, not being given a story is absolute death. Sami, Finn, Hideo, Owens all had storylines literally their first nights on television. Apollo just wrestled matches for a few weeks, and then finally got some stuff with Corbin and the title. He's still struggling to connect as a result. Crowe got to win matches, but without ever getting a rivalry it was near impossible to care about him.

I wasn't his biggest fan, mostly because his look both on the indies and in WWE, but man, this place burying him is depressing.

His gimmick didn't match anything about him. His finisher was absolute garbage.

He had a lot of bad luck, he had to wait because after signing he tested and had elevated testosterone so he had to wait around for that, then he got a concussion, then his dad died, then he got an ankle injury that many felt could have been broken, and then the twitter issue with Zahara.
But Sami has said since that he has no ill will and left on great terms. Triple H loved his in ring work on the house shows, but Sami made it his point that if he didn't have anything going on by the end of the year he wanted to leave so he could reinvent himself. People forget that when he signed, those guys basically did nothing but train for the first 6 months they were in Orlando (He's actually said he wished he held off on signing a little longer so he could get fast tracked to NXT TV)

He looked ridiculous. That was a huge thing, for me at least. It's totally unfair, but I felt the exact same way. Solomon Crowe and Zema Ion are the only two people who I never gave a fair chance simply because of the way they looked. The moment I saw Crowe walk out with that ridiculous haircut, spray tan, and Borat bathing suit, I was just like "Nooooope. F*** this guy."

He looked like a background character from the Flintstone Kids. I'm dying right now. I loved that show growing up, but have never seen it referenced. I love this forum.

It's because he was a midget with a Jericho ring jacket, bad tan and a 1930's grannys bathing suit for ring attire.
The fans should of chanted "You Look Stupid" to him instead of Sheamus.

I've never seen anything outside of his NXT work, but there's zero chance I get behind a guy with that horrible of a finisher. Did you use this on the indys too, or did it ever look good?

He seems like a guy who is most effective when booked like an ass kicking machine, but WWE doesn't see him in that way. The scene kid look and poppy rock theme made him seem so unthreatening, and in the ring his style was mostly scrappy guy with some unique moves. Never really came together.
