Now that I think about it, William Regal got no retirement speech, which makes me doubtful about people like Goldust and the Dudleys. The Dudleys don't seem like the types who would retire in WWE. They'll definitely be Hall of Famers if that counts.

The speech will take all three hours plus the overrun, and will consist of exactly eight sentences. "My name.......... is Randy.... Orton...... and I am.............................…................................................................................................... ....... retired." My only regret... is.... I didn't have.... enough matches.... with.... John Cena.

The speeches and farewells seem to only happen if you're going out suddenly (Edge), after a highly publicized battle against injury (Bryan), or an extremely old school legend (Flair).
Current roster, the only one whose retirement I could see being a "big deal" just for retiring would be Undertaker, but he'd never do it.
Cena, Orton, etc. etc. would only get one if they had to retire next week for some reason.

I could see Orton doing one The speech will take all three hours plus the overrun, and will consist of exactly eight sentences. In the process, he would dislocate his shoulders and avoid getting Wellnessed on a technicality.

I can see why he kept it a secret but I just think it was a missed opportunity with Austin at Mania 19.
Think of the emotion in the crowd if people knew it was his last match, the goodbye speech the next night. It would have been compelling. Nobody ever had a connection with the crowd as much as Austin, it would have been great.

For all the negative things you can say about him nowadays, I think Big Show would have a great retirement speech if given the chance.
