Even with the rareness of potential lost by Daniel Bryan when he retired and two years of apathy towards Reigns, WWE still didn't learn and give Ambrose the shot. Hell, they could've done a double pin and Dean and Roman both win. Utter disappointment, and no match could be good enough to make the result "okay". Maybe because Bryan retired, but God, this was just a horrendously bitter result.
They will never learn, and this is why a good amount of the world doesn't give a damn about wrestling anymore. It's not just a dumb story, it's repeatedly beating the emotional connection fans have for the product again and again until it's severed clean, and you can't fix everything. I don't like to rant, but man, screw this. What a really dissapointing ending to Fastlane.

Getting people's hopes up by having Ambrose lose the IC title on the final Raw before the show was a bit of a crappy move in hindsight.

Im VERY surprised Hunter didn't just jockey for Ambrose as his opponent at the last minute and play it safe. The guy has power to nix ideas Im sure. This isn't good for either participant now.. As the match won't deliver with Reigns and HHH UNLESS they make it a No DQ match

Oh it reminded me of RVD losing the IC title in Sept. 2002 right before facing HHH for the newly created World title. I thought surely he wouldn't just lose that belt if the plan wasn't to have him win the bigger prize. And I was sooooo wrong. But even then there was at least that Flair heel turn to cost RVD, whereas Ambrose just jobbed tonight.

He'll probably get Lesnar, which could be a huge win.

People forget that Reigns is a HHH Guy Which SHOULD make everyone concerned then about the fate of the WWE if it falls into HHH's hands. This guy isn't exactly a great identifier of Main event talent then (SHeamus, Reigns etc)

You know how you make Reigns not get boo'd so badly? Put him against the League of Nations like you've been doing since November. The match would have sucked and again it would have been obvious Roman was gonna win, but him beating Sheamus, ADR, and Rusev would have gotten a better reaction than him beating Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar

Whats worse is the guy they chose to have this big blood feud with HHH heading to Mania?
They just quietly stare at each other to end the show
F***ing what now? Wasn't this the dude who you basically tore apart just a few months back? Didn't give a shit what you did to him? And now he's just in the ring parading his title and all you do is stare at him?
What a F***ing joke, this literally is a F***ing joke, and it's on us for wanting Ambrose to achieve something or this company to do something different... and then end it on the most bland, predictable, and overall depressing note ever. What an absolute DUMPSTER FIRE... Mania deserves to get shit on, and so does everyone involved with this...

It's kind of funny. I half wonder if they were...you know...trying to get the Bryan reaction.
Get random Ambrose chants going. Get some merch sold (he's been steadily adding new items lately). All the while having him around the main event, but jobbing harder than Tyler Breeze in a Tyler Breeze match.
Last time was organic, so maybe they think they can capture the lightning in a bottle and aim the crowd in such a direction...but obviously have no real clue how to do anything remotely similar to what happened.

People forget that Reigns is a HHH Guy You're also forgetting that HHH had to fight tooth and nail for the one thing people liked about Roman as of late to happen. Roman CAN be good, but Vince is blocking it because he doesn't want it that way.

As I said on twitter: pretty sure the only reason they really want Roman and Hunter is so Hunter looks like the hero getting cheered in front of 90,000 people.

People forget that Reigns is a HHH Guy And he works when booked like a HHH guy. Just that doesn't happen when Vince is around. The problem is NOT the person pushed, it is the person booking it.

People forget that Reigns is a HHH Guy And the thing is Triple H knows how to book him. He's the one who fought for the TLC ending that for a time turned the crowd around on Reigns before he just became the same old, lame old Roman we all know and hate, and supposedly back in the fall he was pushing for them to turn Roman heel. All in all, the crowd really does want to cheer Reigns, but not as he is. He's being hurt as badly by beating put over all these people more popular than him as they are.

This guy isn't exactly a great identifier of Main event talent then (SHeamus, Reigns etc) These two had a phenomenal match not too long ago. Both are good hands, it's the god awful booking and non stories they are given.

He'll probably get the pop, but I bet Hunter gets buyer's remorse as soon as the fans start chanting for Randy Savage or JBL or just literally anyone else besides him or Roman.

Either way I find it appropriate that ten years and a day after the last time they put Triple H in the Mania main event against their struggling new top face and he failed to get him cheered for they're doing it again.

This also applies to fans who think their favorites will get pushed to the moon in favor of a company's guy.
