The whole point so far it's felt like is they want AJ to be one of those guys who has like 8 ways to beat you, given he has one several ways in WWE so far. This is consistent with how he's been on TV so far.

I didn't mind that it was kicked out. WWE have already established that "finisher kickouts = This is a 'big' match", so imo it actually helped put AJ over as a big deal.

I wasn't bugged by the kickout. I was bugged by how Jericho immediately started standing up from it.

I'm not looking too much into it really, other than, as others have stated above, he may be phasing it out due to working with bigger guys, and perhaps wanting to avoid any situations like what happened to Yoshi Tatsu.

WWE still thinks Jericho is a quasi-main eventer, so he gets a kick-out on PPVs every now and then. It sorta keeps him looking strong.
Plus, AJ has the Calf Crusher and the Spiral Tap as emergency finishers. It'll be okay.

This was an insanely stupid move and a typical WWE 'thing'.
They tease the move over and over and the only person it successfully put away was Curtis Axel? f*** outta here.

Should have done the Styles Clash and then gone right into the calf crusher, skipping the pin attempt entirely.
Like what Cena often didin the past, using the AA and then the STF right after.

I can't wait for the newz report that claims than Vince ordered to bury one of the most protected finishers in NJPW just to say than the WWE wrestlers are stronger than the NJPW ones

I didn't mind. Whether we believe it or not, Jericho is supposed to be a top-tier wrestler. Him tapping out is probably a bigger deal tbh

The styles clash is a crap move. If the WWE decides to phase it out,it is actually a good decision.

Not gonna lie, I actually liked Billy Gunn's jackhammer. It looked smooth when he performed it.

Hopefully they do still let him use some of the other ones like the Spiral Tap or the Springboard 450 once in a while

They had Michelle McCool using the Clash, the Angels Wings AND the Ankle Lock. Don't doubt how petty they can be.

I don't remember the ankle lock but I try not to remember much of Michelle McCool because she was crap. She used it a few times, after using a Heel Hook for a month or two. I remember her making Maria tap out to a Kurt style Ankle Lock though
