Can't anyone win with a finish anymore? Killed the Clash as a finish a month in.

I'm guessing it's because AJ is much smaller than the people he will face in the future so they've made the decision to phase the move out.
As much as I like the Styles Clash, him using a submission instead makes him a believable threat against guys like Brock Lesnar.
I just hope they find a non submission finisher for him to use before the inevitable Cena match. lol

Eh, I think the Calf Crusher works better for WWE, where submission victories are looked at as the most impressive way to win.

You think someone is going to waltz in here and do Mrs. Undertaker's finish? Undertaker ain't going to stand for that shit.

Especially when the finish came about ten seconds later. Just have the styles clash be the finish.

I wouldn't mind it if it's leading to AJ using the Calf Crusher as his primary finisher and using a different impact move as a secondary finisher. I love AJ but have always felt the Styles Clash was a weak finisher.

I never cared for the move. All you're doing is smashing someone's nuts

That was my first reaction too. Hated that Jericho kicked out after all of that and the Clash. I am hoping he'll find something that he can use on everyone (or most) soon.

Killing the finisher before it has a chance to establish itself with AJ's new audience. Baffling.
But, as suggested above, maybe they're phasing it out as a finish and turning it into a signature move only use for smaller to medium sized opponents? That's all I can think of.

A finish like that I'm not gonna be upset over a kicked out finisher. That was a really well done tap out finish. I think there's a difference between John Cena going on a "kick out of my finisher" world tour and a feud that's built entirely on two guys who wanna beat each other more than they wanna breathe fighting each other until they are completely bottomed out.

With as much as it's been teased constantly, I figured it was gonna be one of those moves that's saved for special occasions, when nothing else has worked and he has to reach into his bag of tricks. Then, Jericho kicked out.

I know it's not 2008 anymore, but WWE still thinks of Jericho as a top name. He made a top name face tap out. That's a good thing.

Still think he's keeping the Spiral Tap for Wrestlemania.

I guess they did it to establish the Calf Killer as a legit finish, but still, it shouldn't have been kicked out of yet(they should've saved the 1st kickout of it for Mania, at least).
