Apparently, AAA is trying to file trademarks against Rey Fenix and Pentagon's new name to keep them from using the names. Are Lucha Politics really that petty? Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Oh God Yes. Some of the more savvy luchadors know to trademark their name and intellectual properties because if you don't, someone else will and take away your future earning potential. Octagon is still fighting AAA over his name even though he was using it before heading there. Cibernetico trademarked his name and the Hell Brothers in case he ever left AAA. He did and can use it without them suing. Penta and Fenix never did and AAA is going to screw them over for that. They even trademarked Alberto El Patron's name in hopes of preventing him from using that elsewhere like CMLL. You would think after Antonio Pena had used new people to replace existing characters under the hood like La Parka while preventing the original from using that name that folks would protect their gimmicks and trademarks more fiercely.

Penta 0M says his new name should be spelled "Penta Zero M" and called to have the ownership rights to his new name. Speaking of which, Lucha Libre FMV is trying to register his and his bro, Fenix, new post AAA names. Lucha Libre FMV is the parent company of Lucha Underground. And who just gained more behind the scene powers in LU? Dorian Roldan. So signs are pointing that he is going to make life hell for the ex AAA luchadors. Not good for LU fans.
Longtime AAA luchador, Zorro, has quit AAA and joined CRASH. Last weekend, Garza Jr put on his Twitter a photo of him and Zorro flying from Monterrey together which was played off as a joke. Yesterday, the match listing poster for the next CRASH show this month had his name in the main event along with Zorro. A report came out that Zorro and AAA were in contract negotiations. Late last night, Konnan confirmed Zorro's departure. This another blow for AAA because he been with the company since 2000 and part of the former AAA trios champs team of him, Dark Scoria, y Dark Cuervo.
Speaking of CRASH, Jeff Jarrett is wrestling the next show as part of a trio of Brian Cage and Eli Drake.
ROH picked CMLL luchadoras Marcela and Amapola for Supercard of Honor. Curiously missing is the best luchadora of Mexico, Zeuxis. Guess those her going to WWE/NXT rumors might not be rumors anymore.

Damn. Reading all this makes you see just how grimy/petty Lucha is.
But I wonder. Is Pentagon and Fenix on WWE's radar?

Is there any events CMLL has planned this month? Seems odd he'd just be sent over for just two weeks for two or three random matches.

Maybe New Japan is hoping for a miracle like Naito after he returning from CMLL about 2 years ago. That Triple H cosplaying is some weak ass shit.

Lucha Libre FMV filed on Friday a US trademark for "Penta Zero M". They are really going all out in trying to f*** dude over. Starting to look dim for the ex AAA folks if this is how they are going to roll.
LU on Netflix is still not a done deal according Netflix's twitter account. Don't expect it on there any time soon.

Yoshi makes his CMLL debut tomorrow, and he's being given plenty of work it seems as he's also having matches on Monday and Tuesday

Valiente and Ultimo Guerrero won the B block last night and will face Volador and Barbaro next friday.
Yoshi's match wasn't much to say about, but WTF was his partners wearing? One of them Kraneo I think looked like a mix between a turkey and a pumpkin

So, is Vampiro in charge of AAA now? Just for the talent portion. Basically Konnan's previous gig besides booker. The Pena/Roldans still run the show.

Yoshi Tatsu has apparently aligned himself with Los Ingobernables as he's been teaming with them and wrestling a more rudo style including low blows and ripping off masks.
Matt Taven will challenge Ultimo Guerrero for Guerrero's NWA Middleweight Title on the 17th.
