Raiders owner Mark Davis says the team will contribute $500 million to the Las Vegas stadium project if it's approved.

Well, not much Oakland fans can do on this one as I doubt the NFL will tell the Raiders they can't move to Las Vegas. Also, it sadly makes too much damn sense to have the Raiders in Oakland.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick has told people he would "rather not play football" than play for the Jets at their latest contract offer.

Las Vegas seems like a bad idea on paper, but there's no way they'll get anything built in Oakland anytime soon, or even ever.

What a piece of shit. The man is getting offered millions of dollars to play a game. It's called negotiation. Ryan Fitzpatrick has a price tag that he deems his skills are worthy of, so he approaches the Jets with that number. The Jets have a figure that they determine Fitzpatrick is worth. The Jets offer and Fitzpatrick says he'd rather walk away, knowing that the Jets will eventually panic and either succumb to his number or meet somewhere in the middle. He's using a tried and true tactic to get as much money as he feels he is worth.

Maccagnan, on the other hand, would probably call on his bluff and draft a QB either tonight or tomorrow.

What a piece of shit. The man is getting offered millions of dollars to play a game. A) It's called a negotiation tactic. He wants X dollars to play. He owes the team nothing if they are unwilling to pay it. B) Playing football isn't playing pattycakes. It is a brutal game that ruins bodies. He may very well have a floor for what he deems a paycheck worth continuing to take those risks and he doesn't owe you or anyone else anything if you think he should do it for less. C) He's very smart and might have already started lining up a post-football career. His salary demands might be as high as it is because anything lower and he might be able to make nearly that much outside of football without the risk of getting maimed on a weekly basis.

Coach Jeff Fisher said the "goal" is for No. 1 pick Jared Goff to be the Week 1 starting quarterback. And here's yet another reason why I wonder how Jeff Fisher consistently has employment. There might not be a more overrated coach in NFL history than Jeff Fisher. For all the fawning and adulation he receives, you'd think he'd have a better career winning percentage than .521, or a playoff record above .500, or more than five playoff wins in his TWENTY-ONE seasons as a head coach. Seriously, if you had to guess without looking, how many times has a Jeff Fisher coached team finished above .500? Remember, he's coached for TWENTY-ONE seasons. With all the respect he receives, you'd think it's something like 10 or more. The correct answer? SIX. In 21 seasons, he's finished better than .500 SIX times.

The guy is one of the most respected HC in the NFL and hasn't won jack squat in 21 years. Must be the Magnum P.I. mustache that hypnotizes people

I think the one thing Fisher had going for him was that for the majority of his career he coached in small markets. His time is up if he doesn't improve in LA.
