Wow, that's... pretty damn impressive for a first show of a new wrestling company.

I think it's obvious who Adam Blampied is gonna have represent BX against Pacitti Club: Jack The Jobber tries to counter Adam Blampied by finding some hired muscle of his own.

Let's see if dude can actually book without the benefit of hindsight and hand waving away stuff he doesn't want.
But yeah. I dunno. I still got a feeling of some wrestlers taking some marks on a ride here.

It's sold out and the second show will sell out too.
They must have made a fortune with the click bait videos they've produced in recent times and it's testament to the power of the internet that it's off the ground.
Wrestlers taking marks for a ride, well that's the business but if they sell out plenty of shows people will take it seriously

Lot of the guys on those early ROH shows took Feinstein for a complete money mark who desperately wanted to be part of the business, and while that is pretty accurate, ROH ended up being a sensation from the start.

Lot of the guys on those early ROH shows took Feinstein for a complete money mark who desperately wanted to be part of the business, and while that is pretty accurate, ROH ended up being a sensation from the start. The first ROH shows, to start off with, seemed to be super stacked with talent, especially leading from the big pro wrestling gatherings of the time and the critical acclaim those got and just letting them go and going from there. I mean, times have changed rapidly but things aren't that different. Whether WCPW takes that approach long term, we'll see, but it's a good sign when the first show was sold out with nobody but Rampage Brown announced and the second show might be sold out before even confirming who he'll be facing.

Also, El Ligero is confirmed for the show. I like him a lot so good addition.
Along with that, Adam Pacitti, Sam Driver & Suzie Kennedy are all doing an AMA in about 30 minutes from now (3pm BST/10am ET) so we'll hopefully find out more after that ends.

Not a grand amount from the AMA from what I can tell. There was confirmation that this'll be a weekly YouTube show, which is a super interesting experiment for them to try considering. Most of the talk was 'We've got a great roster and a passionate crew' etc.

Almost a decade ago, a guy I knew turned his oddly popular backyard fed legit. Despite some good local talent and decent booking, those first RWA shows suffered due to his overuse of pre existing characters and stories. I fear that the WhatCultre folks are headed down the same path. The novelty of seeing those characters in a decidedly different format won't last, especially if they're trying to expand their fan base. I don't want to have to sit through a countless online videos just so I can understand what's going on, and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. It took RWA a year-plus to right the ship. (Running out of a small Western Pennsylvania town non-locals aren't familiar with has its benefits.) WCPW, for a whole host of reasons, won't have nearly that long. They need to dump the old stuff as soon as possible. Otherwise, I don't see them lasting six months.

I don't want it to be Pacitti Club/BX on a bigger stage because, well, it would just be seen as people playing around rather than building a long term product around talent. At the same time, I feel like they should be given a chance to get that way rather than saying they will. If it goes beyond these two shows then I will be more on your side. It doesn't seem like it will but ego does seem to go further in pro wrestling then in most places.

Continuing my job, seemingly, as WCPW correspondent, Joe Coffey, Martin Kirby and Primate are on the roster.
Still no confirmation on Rampage Brown's opponent, though.

Sorry for the double post but looking up Kirby it looks like WCPW isn't spring for the NumaNuma song

What size ring are they going to use? I'd like to see them use a bigger ring then the standard 16ft ring (i think) ring lots of uk feds use. They look so small and make tag team matches and multiman matches unbearable. They should try use a tna sized ring.

Jack The Jobber approached "Local Hero" Joe Hendry when Hendry was filming a list video about himself: After much consideration, Hendry accepted in a quite musical manner before being sneak attacked by Rampage Brown: Then Big Damo arrived at What Culture's offices and volunteered himself to be Jack's representative: youtu.be/cwEoztlskxo Leaving Jack having to choose between Damo and the Local Hero: Resulting in the two of them squaring off at night one of WCPW for the right to wrestle Rampage Brown.

Interesting way of going about it but out of the two, Damo/Brown just sounds like the battle of the big talented brutes which sounds exciting as hell.
Hendry has MASSIVELY grown on me, though, so I am not against him getting the shot.
