I like the Horford signing if for no other reason you only have it for 4 years. Celtics desperately needed a presence in the middle and while not an elite shot blocker he's the best they have.

Looks like Bismack Biyambo is heading to Orlando. Bismack Biyombo... Why? First, I think he was vastly overrated headed into the free agency period. He dominated Miami when Whiteside went down and there's nobody behind Whiteside (not to mention Bosh wasn't around). Biyombo bullied, and then he was alright against the Cavaliers in the ECF. I had high expectations for Biyombo when he was drafted to Charlotte (my hometown team - I'm a Heat fan), but he never panned out. Honestly, flash in the pan. What did Biyombo get? I'd imagine he got overpaid... But the real question is why he is in Orlando. Don't they have Nikola Vucevic? Perhaps he knows he isn't good enough to start in this league. Firstly, deal is 4 years/roughly $70M. Second, like I said in the aftermath of the Thunder trade, Orlando's needed a defense-oriented big something fierce. That's something that Ibaka and Bismack can provide. I don't think the plan is to have Biyombo start. Ideally, he's a defensive anchor off the bench/somebody who can catch lobs from Elfrid from time to time. I don't expect him to be the Biyombo we got in the Playoffs, but if Frank Vogel can work miracles with people like Roy Hibbert and Ian Mahinmi, I think he can do the same with someone like Biyombo.

There is talk of a Rudy Gay-Monta Ellis swap, which works from a salary perspective, but I can't say it makes a lot of sense for the Pacers. They probably still have to move Ellis, though. It may be nothing, but Kings people immediately shot that down according to Amick. And if it IS something... Rudy Gay for Monta should be an easy no-go. Rudy isn't a star, but he's a solid piece to have, especially on his pre-expended cap contract. You can't give him away. No, you can't. Rudy is certainly not without value. Rudy is what he is. He's a fine scorer, but a volume-shooter. I don't see how that works for the Pacers right now, either. As of this second, their starting five is: PG - Teague SG - Monta SF - George PF - Young/Turner C - Jefferson You're not going to bring in Gay to ride the pine, which is what he would do, unless you plan to continue the George-at-4 experiment. And I think that's dead with Turner's emergence late in the season and in the playoffs, as well as the addition of Young.

Id give Durant a 75% chance of resigning with OKC and 5-8% with the lot of others.

It's either going to be OKC or the Warriors, IMO. If KD wants to win, then no other situations rumored make any sense for him.
I'm a little surprised/disappointed he did not consider the Raptors. Maybe all the Drake stuff got me a little excited, but Drake + an ECF finish + him growing up a Raptors fan (or a Vince fan, forgot which it was) gave me a tiny bit of hope that he'd at least consider Toronto. Turns out he didn't even meet with them.
I never liked him anyway. / bitter

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tyler Johnson has a bright future. I know he has to chase the money, but wow....... Hopefully he performs overwhelmingly well for them and people can recognize how this kid plays. Tough player! Man, it stinks he's gone.....

I mean, the Heat still has the opportunity to match the offer, but I don't see that happening. Both Bosh and now Whiteside's contracts have put us in a bind.

I mean, the Heat still has the opportunity to match the offer, but I don't see that happening. Both Bosh and now Whiteside's contracts have put us in a bind. I'm fine with what Whiteside is paid, especially in this market. What is really tripping us up is Goran Dragic. We traded for him midseason, he played that half of the year without Bosh but was so explosive and brought transition offense we lost when LeBron left. The Heat signed Dragic for the price long-term, and suddenly, he's slower, so we've lost his mystique. He's no longer in the top half of PGs in this league, and that's a problem, especially if Wade leaves (which he might) considering we have no real distributor. But yeah, I don't see us matching the offer either. Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow are going to have to take a gigantic leap this season if we lose Wade along with T Johnson, J Johnson, and Luol Deng.

Kings sign Garrett Temple 3/24mil. Almost as good as Durant, TBH. Kevin Durant is reportedly "strongly considering" signing with the Warriors. Fxxxing NO!!! As if GS fans couldn't be any more unbearable just imagine them talking about their team + KD. It will be all the sweeter if they lose again, though.

Really hope KD doesn't go to GS.
Not because I care about league stuff or equality. It would just make him look like the biggest bitch in the world. "Oh my squad got beat up by this other squad.....BYE GUYS I'M WITH THEM NOW."

So, who would become the new Top Face of the League if Durant actually jumps ship? I remember when Lebron made The Decision, both the media and fans were quick to put Durant on a pedestal as the New Humble Superstar. And then people started to do the same with Curry before the Cavs and Warriors did like a Hogan/Rock Double turn.

Kevin Durant's final meeting with the Thunder has concluded.
We see if that talk with West pays off for the Warriors
