The sad thing is that its almost February and still no decent stock of this thing I doubt there will be since it come out around the holidays and now there's no need since the holiday rush is over. Not only that, Nintendo now has bigger fish to fry with the Nintendo Switch.

I'm more annoyed at the principle of it than not having managed to get one. Nintendo's constantly doing these manufactured stock shortages for no apparent reason other than just to piss people off.

I guess this means that we're going to have to settle for a Atgames classic Master System console if they do make it

If I were a shareholder in Nintendo, I'd be demanding an explanation for why they created a product and in the face of an unexpected HUGE demand decided to discontinue it. They're just walking away from millions in profit.

They're just walking away from millions in profit. I saw someone (mostly jokingly) suggest maybe Nintendo was getting worried how it could affect people buying titles from Virtual Console, especially on the Switch. Now obviously that would be a stupid reason to do so, but it IS Nintendo and doing things for stupid reasons is what they do. It's what they do.

Now the question is: will Atgames make a Master system classic console to please those who wanted a NES classic but never got it? It better have that snail game

Part of me wonders if the fact that people found a way to hack into it to make it an emulation machine played a part in this decision.

Part of me wonders if the fact that people found a way to hack into it to make it an emulation machine played a part in this decision. It seems like a stupid thing to affect them, although God knows Nintendo is way too paranoid when it comes to things like that to begin with. It's not like it could possibly hurt more than how easy it is to hack the Wii, Wii U, or 3DS into pretty much doing whatever the hell you want with them.

In fact, surely the smart move would be selling the console so Nintendo at least have the money from that, rather than people just buying a Raspberry Pi like I did

Well, first they love me, and then they don't. Sometimes they do it, and sometimes they won't.

The main reason I bought a Wii and a DS was to hack them, Mario Kart was second. Seems like an awfully stupid decision to me, free NES emulators aren't hard to come by.

I wonder if there's a way to hack my Wii U so that it plays Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. Hmm.....

Go for it, I got mine 3 weeks ago and have been loving it, there are plenty of tutorials on how to set it up. If you know how to use emulators and roms on a pc, your halfway there. And I probably already mentioned, I really was going to give the nes classic a shot, but went with the pi after I saw the nes classics run out quickly. Kinda glad I did, can play Batman for the nes and soooooo many other games on the tv. *coughs* *coughs*rulenumberseven*coughs*seriously, no more talk of emulators from now on, its the only warning this thread gets. Zombie beat me to it. but yeah No more non-Nintendo approved emulators talk, it is clearly written in the rules not to talk about them on the board as they are legally dubious at best. stated multiple times. Do not talk about emulation here as it's against the rules.
