it's a plug and play thing.
It's got an HDMI out port.

Nice, apart from the Mario and Zelda games, I don't have many of those games in my collection. I'll be all over this when it gets released. Same here, can't wait for this! Help me out pls: I won't need a Wii to plug this in, will I? Just a TV and that's it? Yeah, almost certain it's a simple plug in and play. I have a 60 game in built Atari system which looks a similar build to this, and you just plug that into your tv and go.

When is the release date for this? November 11 Sweet. It'll definitely be an early Christmas present for me that's for sure.

Ok I get that Nintendo doing it is appealing, nostalgia etc etc. But like hasn't there been a good few emulators out there with more games for like...years a decade maybe?

Someone brought a good point how easy is this going to be to find. Would expect Scalpers to be out in full force

We had most of these games and even more, but lost all of them in a sewer flood a few years back, so this is very exciting for me. I don't have the money to spend on the old cartridges, since I still have a system. This will help me out a lot, considering I play Super Mario All Stars constantly on Wii.
I've never played the original Zelda either, so that'll be my first game I play.

Well no Urban Champion that's a start but still Ice Climber is on there. I actually overlooked Ice Climber... that's another game that I think is severely overrated and doesn't have nearly as much going for it as most of the other games here. Smash Bros really put the rose colored glasses on that "franchise". Still, you get more good than bad. Ice Climber sucks. It was only behind Rush'n Attack on my list of worst NES games that I owned growing up.

Didn't see this posted about this, but...Nintendo made commercial.
I got hit in the nostalgia at the end of that commercial.

A SNES would be great no matter what, but it would be ideal if they got some third parties on board (that means you Square-Enix). Most likely the list would be Super Mario World Super Mario Kart Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Super Metroid Mega Man X Final Fight Super Punch-Out!! Kirby Super Star Street Fighter II: Turbo/Super Street Fighter II Donkey Kong Country Donkey Kong Country II: Diddy's Kong Quest Donkey Kong Country III: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble Super Castlevania IV Contra III: The Alien Wars Mega Man 7 Tetris Attack F-Zero Pilotwings Harvest Moon Earthbound Super Ghouls and Ghosts Pac-Man II: The New Adventures Kirby's Dream Course Joe & Mac (if they can get the rights to Data East games) Kirby's Dreamland 3 Pocky & Rocky Super Double Dragon Final Fight II Final Fight III If Super FX Chip games like Yoshi's Island and Star Fox aren't on the VC already, likely they won't be in a SNES comp either. No Yoshi's Cookie or Wario's Woods, no buys.

The Sega Arcade Motion has a slot for an SD card where you can play any downloaded game you please.
I have many of the original games the NES is offering here, may still pick this up if the games somehow have level selections/save functions to help ease through the games.
I wish it was the second Tecmo Bowl being released, as the first one is garbage

This thing is going to do gangbusters for Nintendo. It's a perfect Christmas gift, it's perfect to buy before a party, it and another controller, and it'll be a perfect gift for people looking for something to grab to entertain the grandkids, etc.
I am mainly curious what they'll do for an encore, as I don't for a moment doubt this'll be a hit for them. A second set, SNES, Game Boy games (The resolution may be a problem with that one, but I guess they can just do a Super Game Boy-style border), etc, pack. Glad they worked with Tecmo-Koei, Capcop, and Konami for this, since they could have very easily stuck to just first-party.

Someone brought a good point how easy is this going to be to find. Would expect Scalpers to be out in full force Only if you must have it first day, which I never understood. But I'd expect grocery stores to carry something like this since it's basically plug-and-play.

How did they get Tecmo Bowl, given that Madden has the exclusive NFL license? Is it because they don't use the nicknames/logos, and the color schemes are vaguely similar?

I learned the other day Nintendo isn't allowing pre-orders (at least not at Gamestop)
