So I haven't really been feeling this show at all. I think the point in my life where I find sitcoms worthwhile passed at least ten years ago. That said, I did watch "Green Furious" and think "this is pretty decent". Mostly because I thought the actress playing Green Fury and Vanessa Hudgens had good chemistry together. If I'm in charge of the show I think they should just drop everyone else and center it around those two. Make Hudgens character like an agent for C and D level heroes like Fire and Crimson Fox. She runs around trying to get them press and endorsement deals and trying to get them noticed by the Justice League. I think this would have more potential then whatever the hell they're doing now. That would require them to make more than one mandated DC joke per episode.

It's a very decent show. It feels DC-lite a lot of the time, but they don't have to intrude the DC elements into the main cast that much....to good effect. Always did like that they aimed for more (slightly) obscure characters instead of the big guns. Tudyk is just great, Vanessa Hudgens has grown much more likeable as the show's gone on, and everyone else is equally good. A character named "Chairman West" shows up this week - gee, I wonder who that's gonna be. {Spoiler}They already said Adam West, who did narration in the 1st ep, had a role toward the end of the season - I'm guessing this is it

Yeah, I'm expecting this to get the ax. I think it would have been a good series if they had gone with how it was before they started tying it directly to Wayne Enterprises and started messing around with everyone's personalities. It's a shame, because I really love Tudyk, Funches, and Pudi, and It'll suck for them not having this regular gig, but I know they'll be fine. I put this all on WB feeling the need to tinker with it.

I really gave the show a chance there was always glimmer of hope it could get better, Vanessa Hudgins was a very bland lead and just felt out of place in the show, maybe that was the point. But it's didn't translate well. The DC references felt forced, the heads at NBC said they wouldn't be so trigger happy canceling new shows. Superstore has only gotten better this season, Trial & Error and The Good Place I looked forward to every week. This I can see why it got the ax.

Yeah, It was actually official a couple days ago.
I was going to bump the thread but decided against it.
This sounds like DC/WB shot themselves in the foot by changing the entire premise post pilot.

WB Executive: You know what people love? Prop comedy.

I had so much interest for the show when it was announced as insurance adjusters. When they changed it I'm like meh I'll wait till the first season to be done if the reception is any good.

WB Executive: You know what people love? Prop comedy. Ok... listen... I know your pilot has everyone love the heroes... but what if... everyone hates them instead? This is the DC Cinematic Universe afterall.

Yes! This show is gone!
Once they screwed with a decent premise & made it into "mad scientists & their poorly thought out inventions", I lost interest.
Plus, they still had instances where the weiters knew little about the lore & instead doubled down on Batman.

I gave the show every chance in the world because I absolutely loved that cast. There were small glimmers of hope here and there, but overall the show just wasn't funny.
*shrug*

Apparently due to popular demand in the wake of his death, DC Comics has posted (apparently for a limited time) the unaired finale of POWERLESS - featuring Adam West. youtu.be/XUJ8vNugi6c

The things I do for you Adam West. I'm gonna hate it when William Shatner dies. I might have to finally sit through Incubus.

That said I do like some of the references. Like the opening being famous covers with the cast drawn in... and from this episode the News reporter being "Gail Simone" and the Black Canary on Tour shirt. but little references to things don't save the show at all.
