He was still the main focus after the main event it feels to me as a fake doghouse to work the fans. He'll be fine. This constant "it's all a work" thing with you lot makes me cringe I didn't know that's my thing? But everything in wrestling is a work it's just whether their successful at getting the most people going with said plan and just looking at Roman specifically since he's been getting the top guy push the last couple years these news sites have reported he's in the doghouse or getting his push scaled back every couple months and he's still the main focus and wwe has tried to make fans think Roman's getting depushed by having him lose matches to Big Show or feud with Corporate Kane or teases Daniel Bryan is getting his mania slot and fans rejoice on the interwebs and the boos lessens and then it ends with Roman on top with more boos than before.

I hope WWE is willing to actually go forward on things and not spin their wheels waiting for Roman to be ready again like last year's Wyatt feud, and if someone on Raw really takes off, that they let them go for it instead of deciding "No, not yet, have to keep it on a heel so he can come in and get over conquering them". It's a foregone conclusion that they're not going to totally kill Roman off, all I'm going to wonder about is whether or not they're going to go through the motions without him in the top spot. One offense doesn't get you off TV. Your letting your hate for him stand in the way of common sense. He's taking his beatings like a man and he will bounce back. The fact that u think they are going to take their star off TV for a first time offense is laughable. Of course it doesn't. Not when the company is determined to the point of desperation to make fetch happen with you. Lots of guys have "taken their beatings like a man", but since they don't give Vince a boner, they don't get to bounce back. I know that they aren't going to take Roman off TV and THAT'S why I'm pissed about this whole thing. How many people can you name who actually got meaningfully, long-term depushed in the wake of a Wellness violation? How many guys who the company wasn't set on turning into their golden boy had their careers cut out from under them so hard that they never again saw the light of day? You're wanting them to completely abandon Roman and demote him to the lowest of the low as if somehow that's "what he deserves" and that the fact he's not receiving that is proof of favoritism, but how many office non-favorites ever fell even half as far?

They're denying themselves a great character by not turning him. He's got so much promo fuel due to the past two years, and they're squandering it. Turn the guy and let the audience's resentment work for you rather than against you.

Nobody should be surprised that he took a couple steps back. He not getting the title right away on his comeback from a suspension. It won't be the end for him, because as long he doesn't get into trouble again, he will b e champion again. I give it next year he have another title run. Orton went through it and he was push back to the top but wasn't champion right away. Reign may not be in the title match at SummerSlam but I'm sure he have some other high profile mach instead.

How I'd probably do this is I'd have Reigns have one more big loss in the next week or two - maybe another match with Rollins or something - and then at SummerSlam, do the big fanfare of booking Rollins vs. Balor as a massive deal, with the title set to be presented to the winner, tons of hype, everything for the big fight feel, then relatively early into it, Reigns just comes out, murders them both, and steals the belt. Accomplishes turning him heel, leaves the belt as an interesting question mark of what comes of it, elevates Balor and could potentially turn Rollins face which is long overdue, and it makes the belt look like a big deal from the get-go that everyone wants it so much.

Did anyone else get the feeling that they're going to set up a Roman Vs. Steph feud in an attempt to get him face heat, with Steph going after him so viciously?
BTW, did Steph or Mick put Roman in the Fatal Four Way match? Because if it was Steph, why would she insist on giving him a shot if she's gonna just run him down.

Thing is, Reigns is not a face. Once he cut the "I'm not a good guy, bad guy, just THE GUY" promo he was done being a total face. At that point he really became a tweener. The problem is that someone can't just stay tweener forever. He needs to turn. If they keep him as this tedious character much longer he will just end up with massive X-Pac heat, where the booing just becomes less and less and he ends up with zero heat of any kind.

He hasn't been a tweener though; he's been booked as a face the whole way through, not really ever done anything tweener-ish, the commentary has constantly talked him up as being a face, and when he got Wellnessed his whole thing about disappointing the fans was a face move and all the ways that Seth harped on it were meant to garner sympathy. Even when he was booked against a face AJ where a bunch of people said this was going to spark a heel turn and that he'd go tweener, he never did, and then he moved on and hasn't had even the faintest ambiguity since.

Honestly, if you had asked me when the Shield broke up who I thought was most likely to be the spiritual successor to Randy Orton's good life choices that burned him from ever being the top guy, I wouldn't have said in a million years Reigns. It's kind of baffling how this has all spun out. But I do feel like this might be this set of main eventer's equivalent to Orton getting popped & his attitude problems.

If you think about it though, there are a lot of similarities with Orton and Reigns. Pushed due to good looks and family lineage, handed everything early on. It makes sense Reigns would feel untouchable and screw up.

It's pretty shocking how it looked like we had no choice but to gear up for ten years of Roman Reigns main event superstar and it seems now like it's over in a flash.

I'm not surprised, he's the new Randy Orton.
Orton's allegedly failed three times and he's still around.

A first time offense for Adderrall is not getting you off TV. A lot of guys don't take their beatings like a man because they bitch and moan on social media and being passive aggressive. In fairness a lot of guys aren't handed the keys to the kingdom. I'd sure take my punishment better if I were the anointed one versus being called say Mr. irrelevant on TV.

However, the constant verbal abuse on him along with the losses can weigh on the brain.

Na I wouldn't put him in Ortons class Orton was a straight up dick and not a likable person & I say this as one his biggest fans. Add on the fact he was on the roids along with other drug issues as he's described himself Reigns is reportedly busted for Adderrall and is typically described as a cool dude.
