I just don't get the appeal of First Person Shooters personally.
Alright I will admit I enjoy the occasional one (I remember enjoying Quake 3 back in the day and even the original Halo)
But everything else just bores me, didn't help that I had friends that hyped the living f*** out of these games, and when I tried them they just did nothing for me.
If you enjoy them than full power to you, they just aren't my cup of tea.

Never got the love for Half Life 1/2. Nor do I get the appeal of Dark souls.

I'll agree with Uncharted. The gameplay is tedious at best and just had me pushing through to get to the next excellent cutscene.

The first Uncharted is a straight up bad game. The gunfights are absurdly tedious and they throw a new one at you every few steps. COmbine that with platforming that isn't actually challenging as much as it is unintuitive and clunky.
The second Uncharted was better, but wasn't the "game of the year" good that they were hyping it as. The third was a big step down from two in that they were more interested in set pieces than anything else.

Bioshock Infinite has to be up there.
While I enjoyed it overall, it's just so full of flaws both story-wise and mechanically that I've never understood the ridiculous reception it got after release.

GTA Vice City.... Honestly for everything fun about the game there seems to be a dozen tedious things you need to do. Also, the difficulty curve just ramps up! And, why have lots of water if getting in it by accident means instant death? And, aside from his comments and attitude, I wasn't into Tommy. And Lance Vance is such an ass, and this is before VC Stories came out where he basically ruined Victor's life! As for my pick, I may say Xenoblade Chronicles, the original. People have claimed it is the greatest JRPG of the decade, and I thought it was so boring. You can't relate to the characters, the cut scenes take forever & there is a kajillion of them, and progression is so slow. And yet it got into Smash Bros. before Golden Sun. XCX looks more compelling, tbh.

God I hate that game so much. First hour is amazing. Then every enemy is just a bullet absorbing meat shield with no nuance and the vigors are pointless. I will also add GTA V. I hated that game. A lot.

I'd say probably MGS4 and GTA4. Two of my favorite franchises in recent years, but just completely and utterly overdone and sacrificed gameplay for "story". Now granted both franchises had been on the road to this point with MGS2 being a very unworthy follow up to the original, however it redeemed itself with 3, then went way off the deep end with the next game. I liked MGS4 a lot, but yeah there were several times during its three day long cutscenes where I felt like Ian Malcom: "Eventually there is going to be video game playing in this video game, yes?" Spider-man 2 was and is an absolute blast. I'll still pop it in from time to time and just swing around the city. That was so much fun. Other games like the Arkham series may be better, but no game has been as fun to legitimately immerse yourself in as a superhero than that one. I love the Uncharted games. Just DLed 3 a few nights ago. I will admit their one glaring weakness for me is sometimes it turns into 'ok, now where do I climb?'

I can't really get into all the FPSs of the past decade or so, which is why I've got a bit of a disconnect with current gaming overall. I can play the 90s first person shooters though.

For me it's the first MGS. Controls are unbelievably clunky, visually it's ugly as sin, and the whole game just feels so dated. I've never been able to get into it.

Bioshock Infinite is still one of those games where I'll never understand the praise it got. As far as first-person shooters go, it wasn't terribly unique and the story wasn't interesting. It's a good looking game and had some nice concepts (like having a support character who isn't completely f***ing useless), but I got bored pretty fast and probably won't play it again.

I have always found Sonic CD to be a solid title that veers into fan-hack like design on too many occasions for me to ever see it fitting of the "lost classic" status it has achieved between its Sega CD and digital distribution releases. Instances like Wacky Workbench, a level that really should not have made it out of concept in the form it did. However, that f***ing theme song, though.

That popular game/series that I personally don't care for but others do, and we can't have that.

I can't agree with this uncharted talk. Uncharted 2 was probably my favorite game of last generation hands down. Also it's a series with zombies and demon yetis it doesn't take itself that seriously. Not as seriously as your average historically-accurate RTS might (those are almost unanimously serious ), but more seriously than most games do. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it'd be fair to score any of them below a 9 out of 10 if I were reviewing them based on classic criteria. There's a lot to recommend the Uncharted titles in terms of visuals, voice acting, writing and level design. But the games from last generation that left a lasting impression on me weren't the Uncharted games; they were the titles like Mass Effect and Skyrim. Those are games that didn't perform quite as well on reviews but which I thought are memorable for even better reasons. That's why I consider Uncharted a series filled with "overrated" games. They'll score almost peerless critical acclaim, but there are many games I've played that I'd consider much more enjoyable.

Uncharted 4.5 - 5 star ratings. It's not like Mass Effect was getting 3's, Even Mass Effect 3 with it's massive problem that I won't get into has an average review of like a 4.5

Too subjective a question really.
For me, probably Destiny. Just never got into it.

Uncharted. I ended up getting the collection when I got a PS4 and I REALLY tried to get into it but just could not. It's the perfect example of what a mediocre game to me. Everything feels like it could be worse but everything feels like it could be much better and should be.
The God of War games I could never get into either. I mean I get the appeal and they are what they are, hack and slash games. I just could not get into them.
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire: I always felt like it was a beta for a new pokemon game but never fully realized Felt more like a knock off Pokemon game than a legit pokemon game. It might be more that it's a victim of the generation before and after it being so much better. It has it's moments but it's the worst gen next to X and Y.
Zelda ALTTP: Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic game, but I would never put it in that greatest game of all time category. ALBW for the 3DS I think beats it in every way. I'm also like this with Super Metroid. Great game but I can't put it in that "Greatest game of all time" pedestal.
GTA IV: I'm kind of shocked to see Vice City getting talked about but IV I think besides it's online is flat out awful. Good story but man that game has god problems and is at times just not fun at all.
Fallout 4: I could not really get into Fallout 3 but I thought it was still a good game. 4 just feels like Fallout 3.5 in a way that if you are not a fan of the series, you won't like this. I can't really say I'm a fan of the series so... yeah could not get into it. Not to mention the countless glitches in the game.

My personal take for an over-rated game is Bioshock: all I see is everyone rave about the twist at the end which is clever ignoring the average FPS, bland visually similar bad guys and kind of pointless ethical choice of killing the little girls.
As a whole I do think that RPG/JRPG genre get far too much opinion time especially the Final Fantasy series.

I'm amazed that people still call Final Fantasy 7 overrated.
It (for the time) had good graphics, a large world with loads to see and sooooo many mini games. You could literally just move into the gold saucer and play mini games.
Chocobo racing and breeding is still my favorite mini game and I wish it was in other Final Fantasy's.
Yes the story is weak, but the characters are iconic. Cloud, Tifa, Barrett and Vincent are all FF legends as is Sepherioth and the SHIN-RA Corporation.
It is still a great game that is really fun to play as easy to pick up.
Also its the only game I can think of where you can cross dress.

I like Bioshock Infinite and had a lot of fun playing it. But its big problem is: it collapsed under the weight of its own ambition. The previews had us believing that we would be able to roller coaster around multiple platforms in huge gameplay areas, and have a nonlinear exploration experience. But it looks like after the trailers came out, they realized, "holy crap, we can't pack that much content in" and scaled everything back to being contained and nonlinear. And the ending just makes no sense. It's a twist for the sake of a twist, and once you get over the "mind blown" initial reaction and review the details logically, you're left going "wait...that doesn't fit." I put it in the same category as Metal Gear Solid 5: a good game that I truly did enjoy playing, but flawed and with ambitions that promised the moon without being able to deliver, and not the 10/10 games people make them out to be.
