I never thought Jeff Jarrett was any good except in promos where he was crying about getting stomped a few minutes ago. Also, it touched ne how sad he was during Raw is Owen. ...otherwise, meh.

Even his own dad admitted during his rf shoot interview and in his book that Jeff was never main event material.

It's at least a tier or two above popcorn fart. I think if The Rock coined "slap nuts" it would've caught on more.

Its definitely some sort of jerking off thing. It's not great, but its a little better than DDP and scum. At least it has just the slightest bit of edge to it, or...nah, f*** it. They both sucked. WCW sucked. No matter how much I wanted to like it, by 2000, it just sucked. Even the good wrestlers, who would be good again later, sucked if they were in WCW in 2000. Its science. Jeff Jarrett had the 'slapnuts' thing going toward the end of his final stint in the WWF. So bash WCW all you want, but know that WWF had the same thing going on. And I for one loved Jeff Jarrett calling people "slapnuts" and insulting Mean Gene as "Jurassic Slapass."

Jurassic Slapass and Slapnuts is Jeff Jarrett’s top contribution to wrestling.

a two year old thread was resurrected because...? Because WWE has officially gotten over its petty hatred of Jeff Jarrett, but some people on this board may not have done the same. Jeff Jarrett was a great mid-card wrestler and had a memorable persona as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett.

Jeff Jarrett was a great mid-card wrestler and had a memorable persona as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. It’s not hatred, it’s pity. The guy had the opportunity to create a wrestling revolution. Instead he put himself as champion despite everyone, even his father and Russo, warning him against it.

Jeff Jarrett was a great mid-card wrestler and had a memorable persona as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. So as the thread starter, do I have “petty hatred” of Jeff Jarrett? And as you say, he was a great mid-card wrestler and I never had an issue with Double J. “The Chosen One” Jeff Jarrett being booked as the main guy in a company and giving risible promos, that I have an issue with.

Go back and read my original post in this thread if you sincerely want the answer to that question. I gave my two cents on the topic of Jeff Jarrett's edgy persona and the catchphrases that came with it.

Jeff Jarrett was a great mid-card wrestler and had a memorable persona as "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. So as the thread starter, do I have “petty hatred” of Jeff Jarrett? Nope, not you. But a lot of people still espouse hatred and derision of Jeff Jarrett, like the bloke who said a modified version of the 'smashed 100 guitars, never drew a dime' saying that apparently worked in making it cool to hate on Jarrett. As I pointed out in previous years, if Jarrett was really such a terrible wrestler, than what does the fact that the WWF booked him as their IC champion say about the company? (And let's not forget that happened at a time when being an IC champ actually meant something, because there weren't a ton of belts diluting the concept.) We are in agreement about Jarrett being booked as a main event guy. I think the only thing I disagree with you on is that I liked "The Chosen One's" catchphrases.

Love getting likes for things I said two years ago. Yeah, I was wondering why I got one. Although rediscovering my two-year-old snark made me smile, so hey.
