She's the dominant figure in the womens division and treats everyone like a chump. Hell, her champion has probably spoken less than 5 words since she's become champion. She really hasn't done anything except cut the same promo week after week
However, she has gotten her comeuppance in the way of a Dixie slap so she has that going for her.

She's talent, not the bosses' daughter who can say or do whatever she wants and portray herself however she wants to the detriment of the product. No way is she worse than the Almighty Mcmahon-Helmsley.

I'll say no because at least Maria will allow herself to take losses whereas Stephanie will act like she's gods gift to management when she's nothing more than a pandering dillweed.

I'll say no just by virtue of her not being a near constant presence on tv for nearly twenty years now.

Not yet. That said, I do think Maria's character actually makes less sense than Steph. At least with Steph we know why she is allowed to get away with all of these horrible, demeaning things. With Maria....I've got nothing. I don't understand why Dixie and Corgan put up with her abusing the Knockouts and all this stuff. Why not just fire her? There really isn't any tangible reason why they don't just remove her. It's a 2nd tier heel authority figure for the sake of it, when the main authority figures are faces.

Why do they even need a "leader of the Knockouts?" With WWE, a batallion of authority figures makes sense because of their multiple TV shows, but TNA only has Impact which Billy and Dixie surely can handle on their own without a middle management figure.

While I don't think the division would miss her at all, she's pretty good at what she does and it's not particularly on her that their champions come across as unimportant scrubs (also known as busters). That's the Gail Kim effect.
I'm not looking forward to her wrestling, though, especially if it becomes a regular thing. I don't see how Maria in shitty matches does anything to improve her value.

With Maria, you know that she'll eventually get her comeuppance.
With Stephanie, I don't even care, nothing that happens to her will be good enough for all the shitty things that she's done.

I think Stephanie is easily the superior performer but she is also the more inexcusably bad character.

The villain for the Knockouts Divison isn't Maria, but Gail Kim. With her about to Cena her way through the division toward the belt, and the fact that she's been the main focus over Jade and Sienna she's wqorst than Maria.

Maria won her current authority position in a Ladder match.
Why the f*** was a leadership position up for grabs in a Ladder match to begin with?
