Said elsewhere I am not fond of the leather and stand by it but I like that they kept the titles looking equal. In kayfabe, WWE corporate shouldn't be favoring one over the other for the top titles. Secondary and tag, sure but not the Women's and WWE. In kayfabe, the shows should be trying to outdo each other, so Raw should've come up with the most splendid badass belt design ever to put the world title to shame. Instead they went "samesies!"

Honestly...its exactly the same belt as the WWE championship, just with a colour change. I think the main issue is the amount of red against the gold which doesn't really look right. If their going to stick with the red strap then just change the main backplate back to black to break up the colours a bit.Job done.

So having the first time ever Rollins vs Balor match for the new RAW world title isn't as important as the (bland/unspectacular/similar) design of the belt?
Wrestling fans are the worst

Balor vs Rollins didn't give me anything to be remotely interested in until Seth busted out Gods Last Gift anyway, and even then, why would people be excited for a match where in the end the winner essentially has to carry around that shitty looking belt as the prize?
Maybe we didn't find the match as good as you did, and maybe people found more to talk about with how bad the belt looked. That doesn't make people "The worst", and to remark as such is quite petty on your part.

We now have three active titles where the only visual difference between them is the colour of the strap and the text at the bottom. Why don't we just change all the titles to variations of the same design while we're at it? Corporate Synergy at its finest.

The belt is ass. And Seth's tweet actually pissed me off because how dare WWE criticize Brooklyn for expressing their opinion on the title.

To be fair, Seth wasn't the only one to speak out on the crowd, Mick and his daughter did so as well. I'd say they were more harsh as well.

That puzzled me too because I haven't seen anyone crapping on Rollins or Balor or the match itself. Just the championship. The fact that the crowd boo'd an ugly title doesn't take away the love and respect they have for the guys that fought for it.

Just people saying the belt sucks.

That was the point I was trying to make on FB today, I'm happy as hell Finn won the fact I have to watch him walk around with that shitty thing pisses me off. And I've never been a fan of that thing anyway I thought it was shitty when The Rock debuted the design.

More and more evidence that WWE gives no f****s Well they are employees, they're not going to bad mouth the product anymore now that there's money and a network show involved. Also much like the audience was allowed the opinion of shitting on the belt, people are allowed to shit on the audience at their leisure too. Now I think the belt is ugly as sin and I got a huge laugh out of the crowd for the chants but it's simply unfair to deny the Foley's their opinion on this if one doesn't want the fan's right taken away either. Two way street on complaining.

You are absolutely right...I was just about to say that some of that anger toward the Foleys is coming from me watching the first episode of Holy Foley and being shall we say disenchanted.

Mick is going to say what pays him the most, his Facebook post calling the fans idiots and blaming them for ruining a great thing while taking the tiniest of shots at the new title to stay in the good graces of some is just more of the usual for him. It is the outright hostility that is disappointing to me. There might be a great point in his words but I'll be damned if I am going to try and find it when he posts something like that.

What did they tweet? I stay off Twitter at all costs. Noelle all caps ranted about people focusing on the belt instead of the match and Mick called Brooklyn juvenile and disrespectful for booing the title. The irony of her tweet is she took the time to put hastags and use all caps during the match it's self. She was sitting near the hard cam. She was being disrespectful just looking down at her phone for 5 minutes to tweet that.
