Agreed. Both made an ass load of money but didn't know how to contain it and in Ric Flair case continue to spend money on new wives every 2 years. Not to take this off subject but, I've never read reports about Hogan blowing money. He never had money problems till Linda divorced him and Nick had his car accident. He's not like Flair where is defaulting on loans. Hogan's calamity falls in his failure of outside ventures like Pastamania and other side he endorsed in his name that failed to make money

I don't buy that they were going to let him squash AJ. I do buy that they told him that was the plan. Bingo. I have absolutely no doubt that Vince said that. Vince - as well as Stephanie, HHH, Hayes and others, have told too many people they were going to do something specific with them and then not follow through. Happens all the time, and has been happening since Vince first bought the company. I also think people are taking Vince using the word "squash" wrong. I doubt Vince uses that word much when referring to short, one-sided matches, but rather in the more conventional sense of a bigger something defeating a smaller something. That's how Vince's mind works. Also, while he may have become convinced since then, Vince wasn't always on board the AJ train; that's been HHH pushing things to get guys like him into the company, and Vince wasn't fully sold on him at first. I have always found it odd that the WWE doesn't cover travel or hotel costs for its talent. That has to eat up a ton of their budget every year. I think your second sentence answers your first sentence.

Could been worse as far as that goes. Jordan wife will forever take the cake in regards to divorce settlements

I can see an early draft of WM having Ryback beat Styles. But within a week or two of AJ debuting and seeing how hot he was, those plans were thrown out the window.
