Then let him cheat on his own merit. Why does it always have to be about Triple H? Time will tell I guess, if Triple H is the caveat that has to come with getting the belt on Owens then so be it, I think Owens is good enough to overcome playing second banana to anyone. Only as much as he's written to be allowed to. And as we've seen with Orton, Sheamus, and Rollins, no matter who the champion is, Trips is always the bigger deal.

Pedigree, and 20 mins of big boots, turnbuckle cannonballs, and pretty much just beating the shit out of each other Let's be real, if Rollins hit a Pedigree at that same moment, it would have been a false finish. And if HBK hit the SCM, it would've been game over, a Stevie Richards super kick, probably not.

Oh, he'll sit down alright. In his palatial estate, in his comfortable chair, while gazing into the eyes of his soulmate, Shawn Michaels.

I would have liked it if Owens had taken out whoever was left on his own.

I'm alright with him coming back to the ring, and even winning world championships as long as the story is compelling. The dude can still go.
as long as the story is compelling

Spent it all on hunting rifles, scopes and ammo. Tried every possible combo but nothing could hit the target. I tell ya, quality has really gone down hill. HHH:

Never been a big fan of Hunter, but as a part-timer he's never offended me.
Now I just hope the spotlight goes to Owens, not Hunter - because when Orton became champ because of HHH the spotlight stayed on Hunter.
This needs to be made into the Owens show.

On paper it's sloppy but it absolutely makes sense for Kevin Owens' character, he took Sami Zayn's title by a fortunate injury, and now he's got Finn's. Right place, right time and I think it suits him better than genuinely besting the three top prospect main eventers fairly. Kevin Owens is a prickly bastard. Then let him cheat on his own merit. Why does it always have to be about Triple H? If HHH weren't involved Owens would be a Midcard world champion defending the belt against Big Cass and Darren Young while whatever Rollins and Reigns are doing gets treated as more important

Owens being a world champion while standing behind Triple H, as he and Rollins are doing something that's treated as more important?

Honestly, they needed to turn Rollins to fill in the gap for Balor, and they need a suitable heel both to get Seth's character redeemed and stand in for his absence in that capacity. There wasn't much choice.

The more I think about this, the more annoyed I am. I like KO a lot. But it's absolute crap that his first title win is tainted by this Triple H stuff. The guy doesn't even get to win the match, Triple H has to do it for him, twice. This feels like it has all the legitimacy as a MITB cheap cash in win. Hopefully KO can overcome it and have a decent reign, but this is a really weak way to start off. Thumbs down. Word. People go on "At least Reigns or Rollins aren't champ!" But, aside from the recent injuries he's caused, Rollins is a good wrestler. People got sick of his title reign where he was, get this, a lackey for Trips and Steph. It's not the performer's fault, it's the role they put him in.

I am crazy thrilled that Owens won the belt. Trips helping him out doesn't bother me much. However, don't forget that HHH is the guy who booked himself to win the Royal Rumble and WWE belt at the SAME time in 2016. He then kept the belt until WM despite the fact that Ambrose/Reigns would have been the much more compelling matchup. Props to the dude for getting the belt on Owens but now he needs to back off a bit. This isn't the trips show or at least it shouldn't be.

I'm cautiously optimistic and cautiously pessimistic. On one hand I like the strange pairing of Owens and HHH & Stephanie especially on a visual contrasting stand point. On the other hand I do not look forward to Owens turning into Rollins 2.0 and constantly congratulating them and being put into place.
On one hand I find it very intriguing they may have Rollins and Reigns form an uneasy alliance to feud against HHH. On the other hand I do not look forward to 20 minute HHH promos and a million Reigns and HHH staredowns.

He's got enough pull that he could have said it was the wrong play. Either way the whole situation did not sit well.
