Owens/Triple H reminds me of Vader/Harley Race in a number of ways, so it could be fairly awesome, but I agree that the focus needs to stay on Kev. Also, while playing the chickenshit heel worked for Rollins, they can't just retread that shtick for KO. Even though he was handed the title, he needs to remain a badass.

Dude has cultivated an ungodly following just by Not Being Vince McMahon Yeah I don't get this cult of personality around HHH. It's not like he's the one scouting the indy guys, that's been the work of guys like Regal and the late Dusty, he just says yes or no to them. He's as much part of the Roman Reigns Experiment as Vince. And he's a worse screen hog than Vince ever was. For everything good he does there's something bad that shows he is not and will never be this messianic successor to Vince. Thanks for some good matches, but otherwise he can stay gone for me. I'm not even the biggest KO fan and I'm not sure he's quite ready yet (still has the same spots > psychology ring style and 'bury your opponent on the mic' promo style that I'm not a fan of), but if he's gonna win he should do it without help. They rocketed Balor to the top clean after all, and put Owens over Cena clean. Give us some heel dragons to slay besides Brock.

Oh joy. "LOOK AT TRIPLE H! HE DID SOMETHING DASTARDLY! Oh and some dude won the title BUT TRIPLE H!" happened again. Meh. I love Owens to death but I have no desire to see him overshadowed by yet more McMahon family squabbles.

I imagine he's losing to Rollins and then that's it. That was probably the match we were going to get for Mania before Rollins destroyed his knee.

Jesus this place is so negative. As someone who's basically back and forth on the frontline of this very matter depending on my mood at the time and someone who has been served by other posters at times about it, all I'll say is that it's not a black and white issue... Whole lot of grey in it.

Triple H's matches with Ambrose and Reigns were boring as hell and they are still regularly putting on good matches which tells us what the problem was. I'm not optimistic that Seth can do much more with him.

The problem with HHH, and it's been like this forever, is that he can't be vulnerable as a heel and he can't be sympathetic as a face. So he's a terrible character, even though the man himself has talent. On top of that, he has the Hogan-WCW thing where he's always the focal point whether he's champion or not, so I can't see how this possibly helps Owens. Looking at history, Orton and Rollins were booked like crap when playing HHH's 'chosen one', so I mean, what's the upside here?
If Owens is not affiliated at all with HHH, then he will still be second fiddle, but he will be better off.

So if Reigns/Rollins won, people would saying oh great this again. We get someone new as champ, with a hook to tune in next week and its Triple H went over. Geez I understand Triple H hate ex reign of terror, but this is first return on tv in nearly 5 months. It also seems to be the case that he is not affiliated with Steph at the time being.

I ain't trying to see you in main event angles in 2016. I didn't want to see you in main event angles in f***ing 2002. Dude's worn out his goodwill with me. People say they are tired of guys like the Rock or Flair or whoever and that they never need to see them again. I never need to see HHH on TV again. I don't care about NXT or CWC or any of the other stuff he has masterminded. Have a seat, b. Matter of fact, have several of them.

I wouldn't have an issue with this if it wasn't a rehash of every angle Trips has been involved in for the past 3-4 years. Glad to see Trips will never let the Authority die, even if Steph moved on.

Jesus this place is so negative. I don't know that that's fair. I, amongst others, liked Summerslam. NXT gets constant praise. The Miz has a 19 page appreciation thread for a promo. People are just vocal about what they do and don't like.

I don't have an issue with it, I'm hoping that it's Trips' way of settling the score with Rollins and Reigns for how they've behaved in the past. I think that's possible without him being a heel, and certainly without Rollins becoming a face.
He can always come out with a "new era, new title, new beginning" promo and admit that he was a part of the problem in the past.
(who am I kidding, it's a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series and HHH beats them both)

If HHH is what it was going to take to make sure Roman didn't get another forgettable reign, than so be it.

HHH ruining main events is one of the main reasons I barely watch the product. I don't want to see him win. I don't want to see him lose. I want him to not be on my screen in any capacity.

I dunno, I'm somewhat intrigued by this, if only because I wanna know the kayfabe reason for Mr "let's make fun of a guy for getting off roids" has for backing a guy he would have made fat jokes about once.
