There's no topping Kozlov and Tensai if we're talking the past ten years.

I wonder if Tensai could have worked if they had just stuck with him being Albert, and implied that he got way tougher while wrestling in Japan. Out of all of these, I'm the most disappointed in Tensai not working out. I thought he had improved since the A-Train days. That's what I'll never understand. Why not acknowledge that this is A-Train back from Japan and now he's a killer?

They called him a former Intercontinental champion that went to Japan and dominated. that was pretty much his entire point.

But they still presented him as japanese , EVERYTHING being show about him was japanese. You don't become.japanese by dominating Japan

I should clarify: Why didn't they present him as A-Train and not some faux-Japanese guy? Tensai was cheesy and borderline insulting. Call him A-Train or Matt Bloom or whatever. Pretending that he was Japanese was absurd.

Regal in 2008. None of it was WWE's fault. Regal f***ed up, got suspended, lost the biggest push of career. So upsetting, I remember him saying how he got no respect or something similar and he turned off the lights during a Triple H vs Orton match. I remember being so pissed.

Main event look, intermission wrestling style by the time we got him in 2003. Could you imagine Big Poppa Pump with 1990 Steiner Brothers moveset? He would have been main eventing for a long time to come. He would have bern the next World Heavyweight Championship for sure.

I'll give you Swagger but I personally loved Miz's main event push. I've always thought The Miz is one of wrestlings best heels.

Tensai has to be up there, he beat Cena and Punk but nobody believed in the gimmick so it was ruined. Didn't he also made a racially insentitive joke with his japanese manager during that time? I think that destroyed what's left also

Pretending that he was Japanese was absurd. Because A-train is a pretty terrible name, his other big name was a reference to a dick piercing, they weren't going to let him wrestle under his real name (and Matt Bloom is pretty terrible as a wrestling name) and they didn't have the rights to the name Giant Bernard. They never claimed he was Japanese the idea was he went to Japan and absorbed some it's culture and used it to his advantage and was coming back to America to use them in the WWE. That was the entire point of the gimmick. Michael Cole pretty much screamed it every single time Tensai wrestled. The biggest reason he failed is like Madison Carter said he wrestled this really slow boring style instead of just being the giant monster that wrecked shit. (Not that I think he'd be a massive main event player even if he wrecked things but he certainly wouldn't have dropped like a stone)

All this time and no one's mentioned "Big Shot" Bob Holly? In OP Ah, missed that. That wasn't the only attempt at pushing Holly, though, to my recollection. The "big shot" moniker was one he gave himself when feuding with Big Show.

You had him vs Lesnar and the sort of mini push they gave him in ECW. If I'm not mistaken he was the first to give Punk a pinning loss, tho it was in that abysmal Elimination Chamber match
