The FSU-Ole Miss game kicked off right when Owens was coming out. Personally I couldn't watch much of Raw because they didn't excite me to I watched the game.
I'm not saying the game is to blame, but WWE needs to give me a reason to watch. I don't give a shit about Owens and Zayn for the 100th time on free tv.
It's like they just roll over and quit whenever football is on.

MNF, Gotham, and Supergirl will all soon be back for me.
Adios, inferior brand.

And yet, they will change jack shit. Seriously WWE, poll your viewers, all ages, listen to them, change. But it's a NEW ERA! How many times do they have to say it??

Also, Triple H didn't show up to explain what happened last week.

That Club bullshit killed the show. The main event didn't help but that one segment put the bullet in the ass of that episode. If you go back and rewatch...you can actually see the life being sucked out of the crowd so you can only imagine what the people at home did.
WWE desperately needs good writing. Quit calling up these or bringing in the new guys/girls from NXT and other feds and just throw them out there and expect fans to give a shit. Owens is a great example of this for me. I never watch NXT or any indy feds so I still have no clue what he's all about because WWE never bothered to tell me. Same goes for the rest as well.
They need to get their act together and fast.

I wouldn't call Owens a very good example of that kind of thing. They immediately put over what kind of personality he was in his very first segment on the main roster, he's been heavily pushed basically the entire time he's been on the main show which has been over a year, and he gets tons of mic time to put over his character. Zayn's a much better example. His entire main roster gimmick despite debuting eight months ago is, "Hates Kevin Owens."

That third hour died a slow and painful death the moment the Club brought out "The Old Day". By the time the segment ended, the bleeding was too much.

One, tell that to the Foley / Rock segment, and two, that segment wasn't anywhere remotely resembling funny anyway.

So is it too soon FAN to declare Owens as champ tv poison like y'all did with Orton and Punk? Honestly outside of it being Labor Day night, FSU's monster comeback murked all chances of keeping the audience. I was looking at both and watched the parts of Raw I missed on my DVR.

Also, Triple H didn't show up to explain what happened last week. That probably played a part too. People tuned in to see what Triple H would say and the fallout...but he never shows and probably won't until maybe the Raws before Survivor Series. And with no other hook, no wonder people didn't stick around.

WWE Exec: "um...Mr. McMahon, we just got the numbers in and looks like the ratings dropped again"
Vince: "hmmm...how to fix it..."
WWE Exec: "Well we could offer some good matches and try new angles...
Vince: "THAT'S IT!"
WWE Exec: "Really!?"
Vince: "Yes! We need more McMahons on TV."
WWE Exec: "Wait..what?"
Vince: "Yea tell Steph and Shane that they need to be involved in ALL angles...and tell Hunter he is winning the title again. Oh and dig up my dad, I have a great angle for him and the cruiserweights."
WWE Exec: "(making sad upset face) Yes Sir"
Vince: "And get that damn title off Owens! Does he still go by the nickname The Blue Blazier?"

Also, Triple H didn't show up to explain what happened last week. Clearly everybody watched the final hour last week because they anticipated HHH would be there, and tuned in at the start this week hoping to see more of the greatest superstar of all time. But when the Cerebral Ass Kicking King of The Game didn't show up, they lost interest. Solution is clear, put the belt on Hunner and have him get his win back over Roman at Mania.

The biggest rating Raw got this year was the show after the Rumble when it's usually the Raw after Mania so... There might actually be some truth to that.
