I always wondered why men have a thing for women in pigtails. I'm sure there's a psychologist somewhere on this forum listing down every screen name with a red marker under the title 'Posters That Have Unresolved Erotic Disorders'.

She's just aping a popular characters style because it is a good look.
Nothing more to it than that.
I hope she keeps the look forever.

I'm out of date as last time I read comics she was dressed as a harlequin then I stopped for a few years and this movie comes out and she looks like a waitress at a German beer festival.

It's more a hybrid of Arkham, Nu52 & SS

Alexa is cute in general, what do you want? I shall whistle at her.

I'm a woman who has a thing for women in pigtails. I also wear them myself from time to time. I think of them as being cute, but not necessarily automatically associated with anything but grown women wearing their hair in a cute style.

Harley and Ivy are a couple in the comics still, but they are a poly couple. Which is a pretty rare and cool thing to have in comic books.

Harley is probably the most popular female figure in teen popular fiction right now. It's funny that some people in the IWC are having negative opinions about the youngest/ballsiest heel in the WWE referencing her.

This is going to be a hugely unpopular opinion, but I am not digging Alexa's look. Harley Quinn, while the women who play her are attractive, is a glorified Stockholm syndrome/abuse victim. And I see Alexa as a strong girl, so seeing her kind of dress like that, is not cute. The Harley gimmick is pandering to the men who like Harley, because she will do anything for Jokers approval, no matter how abusive he is to her, because she isn't well in the head. And we as a society view that type of behavior as "cute" and "sexy" and its really not. Alexa is a great wrestler, and I think she should keep her own identity. But that's just me. Cue the angry male comments in 3... 2... 1.. Are you familiar with the comics? Because in recent years Harley has evolved beyond being Joker's punching bag. Look at the Harley/Power Girl mini-series.

See, on one hand, I want to applaud her for playing a bitch really well, but on the other hand, I still really like her, so it doesn't really work.

On the one hand she's doing well being eevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvviiiiiilllllll. On the other hand, she's super hot and it's distracting me because the dirty thoughts start coming.

She looks great, but I prefer regular heel Alexa. I do think that pigtails are something of an infantilisation thing, an attempt to make someone look more girlish and innocent. It's not a look that has ever really done it for me.
And the thing is, this doesn't really fit Alexa's character. Harley Quinn cosplay feels like a move to appeal to the audience, to gain their sympathies and titillate them. That's never been heel Alexa's game. She's the alpha bitch who knows you think she's hot but doesn't care, because you'll never have a shot with her.
I hope it's just a one off, and they don't try to turn her into a new character.

You know the comic Harley has completely severed her relationship with the Joker now and, last I checked, is in a fairly sane relationship with Ivy, right? Since Death of the Family, Harley has gone from Mad Love, to an icon of abuse survival. She seems to have more of that Nu 52 look than the Suicide Squad's acid drops aesthetic. Also last time I looked down, the part I highlighted was wrong.

Facebook posts are made daily about people looking up to Harley Quinn.

Given that she's done the whole Elsa thing then Freddy Krueger, it's not like this is Alexa's first foray into the cosplay world.

Love everything bout Alexa, especially the Harley look, but it should only be a one off thing or once a year. Having it all the time loses it appeal, even if it looks great on smackdown's little monster
