I thought Doom 2099 started falling off towards the end
Spider-man 2099 I think was the best part of the original runs...
the rest of the line besides those two were mostly not good...

So apparently Didio said at SDCC that "Doomsday Clock will have major repercussions for the universe throughout 2020" so for those who still think none of that story is mattering, think again. I think this basically means some loose ends (like the Superman Theory, and Clark falling out of favour with the Earth) will probably be left dangling to further drama in the books (especially if you know what's coming for Clark in Bendis' run)

My issue with Spidey 2099 is I do not like Peter David. I get why he has a huge fanbase but I am not a fan of his writing. But you are right stuff like Ravage 2099 were horrible. What I read of Punisher 2099 was average at best. I hear Ghost Rider 2099 is decent. But heard that from someone that is a huge Ghost Rider fan.

In my 4 decades of reading comics you are the first person I have heard say that Ravage 2099 was their favorite. I tried to enjoy it. With it being written by Stan Lee I figured it would be something I enjoyed. But nothing about the comic held any appeal for me. But as my Grannie use to tell me "Everything has a fan."

A little correction on the Mary Jane title, it's a five issue mini-series, but has an option to continue as an ongoing if the sales are good

I more than likely got a full run of Ravage. Because at one time I planned on collecting every Marvel 2099 comic. Got close to half of them out of cheap bins.

I do enjoy that 2099 was created cause Marvel turned down John Bryne's idea for a FF series set in the future. Then when Dark Horse announced they would be publishing Bryne's FF in the Future comic, with enough changed so Marvel can't sue,all of teh sudden we get the 2099 line of titles.

I still really enjoy Tom King's Batman, even though I am 20 issues behind. It's my least favourite book he's written, and I wish he'd go back to doing some creator-owned work like The Sheriff of Babylon, but if this Eisner win for Batman gets more people to check out The Omega Men or whatever his next project will be, then I'm all for it.

his Batman Run didn't win though... His Mister Miracle run did. His best writer was just the stuff he's done this year... and honestly I'd be angrier at Heroes in Crisis being on that list

Tom King rules I hope he starts carrying all his awards around with him like Jay Sherman in the episode of the The Simpsons when he visits Springfield.

Tom Kings Batman winning is a f***ing joke. Honestly if Tom King is the new high standard, the comic book industry is in a rough shape. Ignoring all the plot holes in each of his series he never addresses, his inability to capture the voice of 90% of characters who cameo in his titles, and his obsession with using shock in lieu of actual narrative storytelling. You also have the guy completely butchering whatever message on PTSD he wanted in Heroes in Crisis. And actually implying that when reality is too difficult, suicide is the solution in Mister Miracle. It’s some of the most disgustingly cynical stuff I’ve ever seen in comics. He seems like a good guy, and I have liked things he’s written in the past. But I really worry what direction this sort of thing will lead the industry down. Especially since everything I’ve seen leads me to believe he’s doubling down on his worst impulses as a writer.
