That Mauraders title is confusing but interested.
Looks like Betsy is captain Britain again.
But I really don't like the super secrecy and hype of the next big historical era for the xmen.

I'm so over Tom King at this point. How about making comics about.... Comicbook characters? Not every story needs to reinvent the wheel. I don't know, maybe I'm still bitter over his terrible Heroes in Crisis and his meh Batman run.

Now I have only read the first 3 issues of Heroes in Crisis, but so far besides how Harley is ,I HATE MODERN HARLEY,I don't see anything that horrible about the series.
And yes I know how the mini ends and who the killer is. Might be because I do not have a strong connection to the killer,Jay or Barry are the Flash to me,but yea so far I am not getting why all the hatred for this series.
After realizing I now have a huge collection of 90s boom Bad Girl comics I am tempted to read all of them and see which of this crap is the best.

They tend to kill off superheroes on un-heroic ways. Sue Dibney, though not a superhero, is one example, the handful during Superboy's meltdown in Infinite Crisis another. Just seems disrespectful to the characters and the fans of the characters. Like, I'm a huge Titans fan so the deaths/killer being so closely tied to that event pissed me off. Plus Wally West is literally my favorite comic book character, Dick Grayson is another who is being screwed around as well, and it pains me to see how botched his return post Rebirth was. Basically a conga line of torment that culminated with HiC. Dude's return was trumpeted as the return of hope within the universe and then Tom King had to get his hands on him. /rant over lol. Sorry I have strong feelings about DC right now, as you can tell. I've pretty much dropped all of DC from my pull list with Doomsday Clock the only one left.

While I have read DC since the late 70s I have never been a huge DC fan. As a kid I preferred Marvel. Once I was a teen I much rather read indie stuff than DC. But hey I salute you for not buying DC stuff cause you aren't happy with the direction. Too many fans I see bitch and bitch and bitch about say X-men but they keep buying the comics.

Thanks Yeah, how you are with DC is how I am about Marvel Comics lol. Totally get that thought process. I think the only Marvel character I am this emotionally attached to is Spider-Man (One More Day *shudder*)

Outside of a few Vertigo series and a mini series here and there I have mostly stuck to indie comics for 20 years.

I'm the same instead I dropped Doomsday clock too. I'm a DC > Marvel Guy but yeesh DC recently has been awful, Might as well rename them Depressing Comics. Didio has become Vince Mcmahon of DC, The sooner he f***s off the better. Modern western Comics have been SO bad I've gone back to classic stories not just DC/Marvel but 2000 AD as well (also Manga).

I agree so damn much about modern comics. Mostly end up rereading Post-Crisis stuff, Geoff Johns Flash/Morrison Batman/late 90s Teen Titans. Honestly though, before Joe Q stood down in Marvel I would have said both EiC's were neck in neck in stupidity. Looks like Didiot "won" that race, bleh. Least I have Power Rangers (and Go Go), Life is Strange, Angel, and Buffy to read right now or else my comic book reading habits would be at an all time low.

I'd be less annoyed if Barry had even a thimbleful of personality by comparison to Wally.
Barry was a Blue Lantern in that one Lantern event, and it fit, because he's hopeful. That's... like almost the only character trait he's consistently got that isn't DC trying to retroactively graft parts of Wally's personality on him when they realized they f***ed up bringing him back.

Yeah, Barry is ok... but he was very straight laced and dry personality wise.... Especially compared to Wally. Not to mention most people that I know that think of Flash think of Wally. In more modern times Barry worked way better as Wally's idol/ideal than he does as the Flash proper.

Straight-laced Barry would be fine, too, but when you also have Hal Jordan and some others around, you begin running into redundant personalities very quickly.

This is a total head-scratcher. Every time I grow tired of superheroes, I turn to Image. Compared to what it was in the early 90s, Image is a fount of creativity and creator-owned titles that are sorely lacking at the Big Two (if you mean "modern western=superheroes").

His MISTER MIRACLE maxi series was a book of that particular age, in case he doesn't recall, and it has been greatly awarded (ESPECIALLY the art and all the different/unique things Gerads did). For him to say what he said........is very odd.
