Well, that BoP book wasn’t sounding spectacular to me anyways. And at least that article explains what the hell ever happened to the Wally West joining the Suicide Squad thing, I was confused as f*** by Flash Forward and a new Squad with no mention of Wally. No doubt DC figured Wally on Suicide Squad would go down like a hallowed fart in church and just went straight to a role that people thought suited him better post-rebirth, a multiverse protector. Hell, the only reason I could picture a clear reason to include a Flash in Suicide Squad is because Ezra cameoed in the original SS movie. That's dated synergy now.

This week's Star Wars: Rey one-shot made a post-TFA hug for Leia & Chewie canon (and kinda with an explanation for why it wasn't done in the movie, even) and also seemed to stick a fork in a certain character's fate...... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Rey, Chewie and R2 visit a scrapyard planet for repairs on their way to see Luke, and Rey just happens to find Slave-1 in the rubble & uses it to defeat the bad guy.

Over in Superman, Bendis finally closed off his Unity Saga, and tied up another loose end from Rebirth {Spoiler}Jor-El is tried and sentenced by the United Planetary council, and is returned to his proper place in space and time, right as Krypton exploded, killing him. Supes doesn't even get a chance for a final heart-to-heart with him, as he's told after the fact by Adam Strange.
Oh, and despite being on the cover, the Legion only appear for a couple of pages before heading back to their own time, their offer to Jon still lingering. Jon heads back to Earth with dad and cousin Kara to talk to Damien.

It sorta screams "he'll still get a chance to say something!" but then you see the finality of it and........oh, nope, probably not. Kinda stinks for Supes, though. {Spoiler}Jor-El was put about 5 feet to the right of his proper place in space (time was right). It did get a nice final moment to tell himself "He makes it. He does good." which I guess is the tre finality this all probably deserved, I guess.

Even in current canon, as far as I know Slave I isn’t the only style of that ship in existence even if it’s the only one I think we’ve been shown.

Glad to see that ETERNALS collection of old What If backup stories (which is how they were moved from their Kirby "bubble" into the mainstream Marvel Universe). Now I wonder how the Eternals will fare in upcoming comics having all committed suicide at the beginning of Jason Aaron's current AVENGERS run. Did Marvel Studios know this had happened?! I found out a few weeks ago and was flabbergasted.....though I guess if they decide to tone down the costumes to match what the movie establishes their look to be, I.....guess mass suicide is the way to go....? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wipe out an entire "god" race, have them reborn, usually as clueless human beings who start remembering what they were, return to status quo...

They and the Comics department don't see eye to eye, and Marvel aren't always necessarily slaves to synergy either

Well, that's certainly a day to do it. And I'd love to think Tom King was ditched months ago because of Batman Day months later. ;p

Well, that's one way to deal with those massive declining sales numbers and dropping to only 24% of the market.

At long last, the national nightmare of people complaining about when King will be off the main Batman title is finally over.

At long last, the national nightmare of people complaining about when King will be off the main Batman title is finally over. King will still have control of the 'main' story, Tynion is largely going to do a filler storyline up until Issue 100. King says the big change in Batman's direction occurs at the end of Batman/Catwoman#12

And last Friday, I thought Tony Daniel might be drifting from DC........ but boom, he's the new penciller of BATMAN when James Tynion IV takes over.
