I thought convergence was decent...well the tie ins anyway, They fixed the awful shit they did to Lian Harper (which was another brilliant Didio idea). Yeah, Convergence was a lot of fun, one of the few bright spots in the N52, and set up Rebirth nicely. Jon was introduced in it, and Dick finally married Babs. Simpler days right?

I kinda agree. I am tired of how much DC pushes Batman. Like their need to shoehorn him into all the animated films. He was NOT needed in JL Dark It's like Homer's idea for poochie. Even when Batman isn't around all the other characters should be asking "Where's Batman?" JL Dark was the movie I was thinking of. But as long as the hardcore "Batman can beat anyone with enough time to plan" fans keep buying everything Batman DC won't change. What I have noticed with the hardcore batfans is they hate change. Oddly they will bitch and bitch if anything is changed in the Bat-comics. But instead of say not buying the comic they aren't enjoying they keep buying them. But hell I see the same thing happening with hardcore Xmen fans. Griping and bitching about how bad the comics are. But they still buy them. It's like the bat/xmen comics are heroin and the fans are junkies. They gotta get their fix and doesn't matter how crappy the quality of that fix is.

I don't know about Batfans consuming everything despite hating it, Bat sales haven't been too high since the Bat-Wedding fiasco, King definitely took a hit, and it's largely the reason his 100 issue run was cut short even if they spun it as something else altogether.

Even when Batman isn't around all the other characters should be asking "Where's Batman?" See, I disagree. The movie needed someone not familiar with the occult and magic to give exposition to. Although granted, there were probably other characters they could have done that with.

Is Ottley done with Amazing Spider-Man? In the latest ish they announced a new penciler (blanking on his name) signed away from DC but didn't know if that meant he was the full time guy now.
If that's the case Ryan had kind of a disappointing run. Don't get me wrong, he did great when he was there, but they've had so many guest artists I don't think he drew half the run. I was so stoked and started picking it up for him drawing it as well.

Ottley is still attached to ASM, but he take breaks now and again. That's been the case since he started actually.

I just don't get spending money and/or time on things you don't like. For example I have realized over the past month I wasn't enjoying AEW Dynamite. SO I have stopped watching it.

Superior Spider-Man#12 {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Welp, I guess we can officially say goodbye to SpOck, vintage Otto is here to stay. You got to love how they literally "One More Day'ed" this whole premise And in Nightwing annual, there's finally some sense to the whole Ric thing {Spoiler}{Spoiler}It turns out the whole time it's been a long-game being played by the Court of Owls. The doctor that worked with Ric shortly after his injury, and who advises Ric to leave Bruce and Gotham behind, is actually an agent of the Court. Dick's grandparents are also members of the organisation, meaning Dick has been connected to them since childhood

That's been known since around the time they debuted.

Part of me doesn't mind that it's happened, part of me likes the weird journey that got us to this point, part is not thrilled.

Part of me doesn't mind that it's happened, part of me likes the weird journey that got us to this point, part is not thrilled. I don't mind it much either, but I feel bad for the fans of this particular iteration of the character. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I'm a sucker for old-school rogues gallery stories (I was one of very few who didn't mind Grant Morrison turning Magneto a proper terrorist again and still hate that Xorn retcon), and I look forward to seeing Ock at his devious best once again plotting and scheming in Amazing Spider-Man, I'm sure this whole thing was Spencer's idea, he seems quite fixated on restoring the franchise largely to it's pre-OMD eras and eradicating everything built up the last decade or so. I just wish {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}they hadn't thrown Anna-Maria under the bus in bringing Ock back to his roots. She was a genuine highlight of the original Superior run as well as the new series, she was used as the voice of reason when Otto made the deal with Mephisto, but in this final issue she throws Peter, MJ, and Felicia under a bus for some reason when propping up Otto's tastes in his love life.

Finally saw the panels... f***ing really?
Not to mention that they appear to have missed the pretty big point of Superior Spider-man... that Otto was you know... inferior at being Spider-man... despite his claims.
I mean that was pretty much the entire last arc of it was entirely about...

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Because God forbid pretty women be attracted to a handsome, funny, physically fit university graduate.
Seriously, Quesada made a big stink about Peter and Mary Jane being together because a nerdy guy like Peter pulling a model like MJ was somehow "unrealistic", because it's absolutely impossible for people to be attracted to more than just looks, and now they're aiming the same criticism at Peter instead of MJ.
HOW HARD IS IT TO WRITE REASONABLE CHARACTERS?!

HOW HARD IS IT TO WRITE REASONABLE CHARACTERS?! {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} especially cause... you know originally Peter and MJ really didn't particularly like each other
MJ being the Party girl that kinda came between Peter and Gwen.
it wasn't until Gwen's death that changed literally everyone in Spider-man's universe that she started acting more mature and focused on her career and such.
edit: it's also weird cause... Anna and Peter were friends when Otto gave him back his body...

MJ being the Party girl that kinda came between Peter and Gwen. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Erm..no.
Peter thought MJ was a bit scatter-brained at times, but he still liked her and wanted to know more about her, and contrary to revisionist history, Gwen and MJ got along more or less with the occasional snark thrown at one another. MJ on the other hand had commitment issues, which is why she just liked to play the field at the time, but she still really liked Peter and didn't make a hard enough play for him at the time because she already knew who he was
Gwen's harsher qualities and the burden of Spider-Man were the ones who often came between Peter and Gwen more than MJ.
