it does complicate things for no reason... but yeah it's probably related to the movie, or just so to say her origin you don't fully need to mention Mar-Vell. I mean it could be worse. "That wasn't Magneto. It was Xorn's twin brother we never mentioned before pretending to be Xorn pretending to be Magneto". Yeah, This is rather benign compared to other "THIS IS WHAT TOTALLY REALLY HAPPENED WE'RE CHANGING THE ORIGIN FOREVER!" stories.

Might be an attempt to synchronize the movie and the comic. Still feels like making something more complicated for no real reason though. it does complicate things for no reason... but yeah it's probably related to the movie, or just so to say her origin you don't fully need to mention Mar-Vell. Which is interesting because one of the name actors in this movie is thought to be playing Mar-Vell.... {Spoiler}Unless that Jude Law is Mar-Vell rumor has been debunked already?

I remember that briefly DC retconned that Barry Allen's accident was actually planned by a 5th dimensional imp. They hit the reset button so hard it cracked on that revelation.

So Carol Danvers......hrm.... (Life of Captain Marvel #4 spoiler - a big origin altering one) {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}She was a Kree the whole time. Because her mom was a Kree warrior who fled to Earth, meaning the incident that gave Carol her powers wasn't (as it's always been assumed) a radioactive accident that created her powers.....it just activated her Kree DNA.
And I guess you can call her Carol, because.........her Kree name was/is Car-Ell.
......I don't know if this drives me crazy or not? You think {Spoiler} They had to add the extra "L" to not be sued by DC with Superman's name?

I blame other depictions of him just making him blue.

I blame other depictions of him just making him blue. In regular Marvel continuity, there are two "races" of Kree divided by skin color and one other thing: There are the "Caucasian" ones who are pretty similar to humans (and even then, I think they've introduced one or two that have skin tones similar to African/African-American), and then the blue Kree, who are at an "evolutionary deadend" which allegedly means they can't progress any further than they are now in terms of evolution and such. As far as origins, they all change. Some are more gradual, some are short-lived but there aren't many origins for A or B-list characters that hasn't changed since their inception. {Spoiler}As for Jude Law, just based on what I've seen of him in the trailer, I don't think he's Mar-Vell, I think he's Yon-Rogg.

I've been reading a lot of crossover comics lately and this might be a question for Joe NegliaCould Wolverine's claws cut Super Man? Anyway, I read Super Man vs Aliens 1 and damn, that makes me wonder how Goku would do in the same situation. Say somehow the planet he's on is sapping his chi.

Because Superman.

As a general rule, Superman vs anyone will result in a Superman victory. Except when he fights Batman, because Batman has to be the best at everything.

I've been reading a lot of crossover comics lately and this might be a question for Joe NegliaCould Wolverine's claws cut Super Man? Depends on the writer and editorial. From my own perspective, I'd say they could BUT not by Wolverine himself. His human strength wouldn't be able to put them through. If they were coming out of Doomsday or Mongol's hands, it'd be a different story.

Considering I've seen more comics where Batman barely holds on until someone stronger gets involved than not, I think it's a bit of a myth.
