At this point it's the best case scenario, assuming they pick up many of the contracts.

It's like old yeller. TNA is sick and dying bit by bit. So you can either watch it try to get better over and over....
Or the wwe can just take TNA out back and put it down. But just like old yeller, in death TNA will be remembered by those that loved it.

I'll miss aspects of TNA, like the Broken stuff and the continuing hilarity of its very existence, but it's well past time to put a bullet in it. And having all the TNA PPVs on the Network would be awesome.

The Raw where HHH wipes his ass with the paperwork should be a good episode.

May as well, it's well past its expiration date. I was a huge fan back in the day during the weekly shows through their debut on FSN and later Spike, but I couldn't be bothered to look at it today. Even the spoilers thread doesn't interest me.
I'd like to see them pick it up so we can see the library from the early years, but that's it.

It'd mean some kick ass Samoa Joe & A.J Styles DVD's.
Say what you want about TNA but those two had some amazing matches there.
Also I wouldn't say no to some of the roster (Knockouts especially) coming over

No chance in hell unless they can get a guarantee that they will not be liable for any lawsuits or owed money.
As others have said, it better to let TNA die then buy the tapes cheap.

TNA is not going to ever be a viable brand at this point.
It's never made any money has been kicked off like 3 networks in 2 years... and it has 0 credibility with the fans.
the WWE gobbling up the tape library is likely the only way the footage is ever seen again.

If they kill or screw up Broken Matt Hardy'saga storyline God damn them Matt Hardy will probably just take Broken on the road. There's not much of any of it that he is dependent on TNA for. They film it at his compound, anyway, and I doubt TNA owns any of it, really.

I can't think of why WWE would do this. It would be throwing good money after bad. Unless Vince is planning to write it off as charitable donation.

Some of their biggest stars have a lot of history with TNA. Sure, they ignore it now, but getting either old TNA fans or new AJ Styles fans to sign up 9.99 a month to see the old PPV's, in HD..that's got to be worth it. Not for crazy money, but Vince has been doing this long enough to know if it's profitable or not. He's not running the only game in town by accident.

no way WWE has an interest in acquiring TNA's staggering debt. they'll wait until it goes bankrupt then buy the tape library for pennies on the dollar that they'd have to pay now.

Vince only bought wcw for 2 million, then make a killing with the video library. That's all he should be interested in, not in buying the contracts or anyone employed there or the rings. Although the more details are revealed, like fight network owning the video library and the lawsuits...no way McMahon would be willing to enter that shit storm.

Only thing they'd want is the footage library. No real need to bring in anyone TNA has on roster right now-though the Hardy's are a matter of time.

Haha I'm picturing Vince telling them that they're all gonna get wwe contracts but first random drug test. They would all fail it. Especially EC3, he would fail it twice.

EC3 just walks into the testing area and before doing anything the machine kicks back fail.
