My biggest grievance is that this feud has just straight up, no exaggeration, been an outright burial of Rusev. At every single turn possible he's been made to look like a complete fool, even the one time he actually put Reigns down Roman laid him out the first time he tried it, and Reigns has basically shown him up on every front he possibly can including having him beat twice over tonight.

I love Cole before the match Cole: "Fighting for the honor of his wife, Rusev... ...and fighting for the united states championship, Roman Reigns!" Like...who was the face in this shit? Don't forget, this feud started because Roman came out during Rusev and Lana's celebation to insult his taste in champagne and sexual performance. Then came out and apologized the next night by calling his wife a whore. Rusev's been face for months in my eyes anyways.

Yeah, this feud pretty much ruined Rusev for me for the time being.

Can't help but think that due to the ppvs gimmick of championship matches they wanted at least one to change hands and all the other title matches has predictable results. Wouldn't be surprised if he loses it tomorrow.

Look, I'll be the positivity in this thread (Granted, I usually am when it comes to Roman)
If John Cena of all people can not only rebuild the title but change fans opinions on him, then I'm sure Roman can to. Not only that, but besides the ending being LOLROMANWINS, for the first time in forever (#Frozen), we actually saw Roman at a weak point and an actual back and forth match
I anticipate where this is going

I don't understand at all what the point of this dude's push is anymore. Like, I'm not even bothered by it, I'm just confused. You have this massive roster full of talent and you strap the rocket on to one of the blandest guys on it, it's just silly. The Rock might be willing to come back to wrestle him. I'm serious. I've been saying it for close to four years and I've yet to see anything that makes me reconsider it. The main factor behind Roman Reigns' megapush is and has always been the vague-but-not-impossible notion that the Rock could be persuaded to return to work a big money main event against him. Probably based on some offhand comment Rock made sometime in mid-2012 when discussing his availability for post-Wrestlemania 29 appearances for WWE.

The graininess of that picture and the lighting makes that person not even look like a real person. Like a straight up drawing from a comic book that's been inserted into real life.

Probably because the Club sucks and they want to move into New Day against Sheamus and Cesaro.

Of all the people defending titles tonight, Rusev was the one I didn't want to lose. Well actually one of two because Kevin Owens.

I'm going to state the positive on this: having him win the US Title means he'll probably be kept out of the main event for the foreseeable future. That's certainly not a guarantee, seeing as though he just beat the Universal champion on Raw.

I feel like this is going to lead to a program with Braun to build him up to his rematch with Lesnar.
The threads will be hilarious at least.

To further expand on my poignant thought which you can read in my philosophy book coming out this Spring Roman Reigns is like if John Cena's push was given to Matt Morgan. Or if WWE stubbornly stayed the course with Marc Mero and Ahmed in the 90s as opposed to realizing that Austin was red hot. Of course, no one has been as over as Austin but who knows what could have happened with the wrestlers the crowd was getting behind before they were buried. Super Cena became stale but he at least had enough personality where it made sense for him to be on top.

In less than a week, Roman beat both Raw champions clean as a whistle. This company is content to ride this train even if it means taking the company with it. Also, he's never turning heel. Notice how during the promo packages, they referred to the people that boo him as "haters", like this is some school yard shit.

They might be getting their Cena after all. But I hope it goes back to straight booing soon so they don't feel justified in 2 years of bad booking.

Dear Roman,
Thank you for having the male equivalent of piss break matches for me. This PPV I went and made myself a peanut butter sandwich. It was delicious.
