Like I got no horse in this race, but my two-cents is Roman's "depush" has been a pretty blatant slap of the wrist if there ever was one. The thing is, they've rarely actually punished ANYONE for Wellness to the extent many believe they do, and seem to have wanted with Reigns. Most people who have been caught over the years were lower carders anyway and couldn't be depushed any further, and the only example I can think of right now that did get actively depushed was Regal in 2008, who from all accounts was on the verge of a world title run before he relapsed. Yeah I see that, but I just know years down the line when the WWE starts giving retrospective on his career, he'll go on about how he "took his punishment like a man." lol

This is kinda what I wanted for Roman in a weird corrupt a wish way I guess. To be in the midcard to find his way since they bungled his character and booking so bad before.
I still think he's a proper heel turn away from winning most people over. Worked for them Usos.

This could work. Roman was at his best when he was just beating fools up and not trying to be some mash up of Rock, Diesel and John Cena, so him a reason to fight (the US Title) and just let him do that for awhile.

I don't understand at all what the point of this dude's push is anymore. Like, I'm not even bothered by it, I'm just confused. You have this massive roster full of talent and you strap the rocket on to one of the blandest guys on it, it's just silly. What's even more ridiculous? This dude is now a TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPION.
He's won the tag titles with Seth, the WWE Title THREE TIMES, and the US Title.
People wanna try and defend this dude? He's accomplished one of the highest accolades in the world of wrestling and has done absolutely nothing to earn any of it. And people want to call the hatred for him unjustified... seriously, wake up, at least Cena was BUILT and LIKED before his inevitable crowd turn. Roman has always been the third guy in the shield and he NEVER grew out of it, aside from making immature dick jokes and shit, on top of the insufferable no selling and like Three Moves of Doom he pulls out to win a match. Oh, and he's also Main Evented WrestleMania, twice... then there's the Royal Rumble he won that ruined him forever.
He makes no one look good, he is not over, there are so many more talented people to pick from, and yet, he is a Triple Crown Champion and the dude given constant opportunity after opportunity after basically giving them nothing in return except a Wellness Violation, a ton of crowd disapproval, and falling ratings... but he's the guy they want to keep riding. In that case, F*** off the hardest edge of a dick WWE...
All I can say is, I'm very glad Smackdown and NXT exist... Smackdown actually knows what to do with their stale as F*** Samoans...
diesel became a triple crown champion in one year. Was he more liked that Roman?

I always thought the best thing for Roman would be to drop to the midcard and win the US or IC titles. The problem is, he's actually only done one of those things so far.

And if yesterday's match wasn't bad enough, they announced a rematch on Raw.

You have this massive roster full of talent and you strap the rocket on to one of the blandest guys on it, it's just silly. The Rock might be willing to come back to wrestle him. I'm serious. I've been saying it for close to four years and I've yet to see anything that makes me reconsider it. The main factor behind Roman Reigns' megapush is and has always been the vague-but-not-impossible notion that the Rock could be persuaded to return to work a big money main event against him. Probably based on some offhand comment Rock made sometime in mid-2012 when discussing his availability for post-Wrestlemania 29 appearances for WWE. Reigns vs Cena too, with the storyline of "the most controversial superstar of the last generation going up against the most controversial superstar of this generation".

diesel became a triple crown champion in one year. Was he more liked that Roman? Yup, he was. Nash didn't set the box office on fire, but the fans weren't booing him out of every building he appeared in, either.

It wouldn't be so bad if Rusev just hadn't been so comprehensively buried during the feud

When it was first made apparent that Reigns was going to feud with Rusev for the belt I was accepting of the fact that it would likely culminate in Reigns beating him for the belt.
However the way the feud would then play out, the only logical way that match should've ended was Rusev cheating like hell to successfully retain, keeping both looking strong.
Rusev has not looked anywhere near Reigns' level at all hear, despite the "back and forth" match.

Jobber entrance for Rusev? RAWLOL. Yeah he came out to rile up the live crowd before the show. He was mega over. Shame they didn't let him talk once the show intro was done.

They actually do , but most often than not, it is for pot. Both THE Brian Kendrick and Swagger dropped hard because of it. ( and both man are over ). And few cases with actual suspension. But it seems that for most part , they don't punish hard pushed guys

So how far down the card would be a suitable de-push for him? Just curious.
