Where the whole theory of parallel universes exist because things are different than you remember them (the whole Berentein/Berenstain thing), and I think the best example I have of one is that I swear I remember the Tiny Toons movie "How I Spent my Vacation" was called "How I Spent my Summer Vacation". I swear the word summer was in there. But every piece of media I've seen since has it without Summer in the title. I also hear a lot of other people refer to it as "Summer Vacation" too, so I guess I'm not the only one.
Any instances of the Mandela Effect to anyone else?

The most famous one is surely "Mirror, mirror on the wall" from Snow White. This being in spite of the film's dialogue being "Magic mirror on the wall".

In fact I think this post may have originally said something else Lol. All joking aside I find the mandela effect pretty fascinating. I don't know if there is any thing to it. However I in my brain there is and I choose to think about the things and read about things that might be changed by it.

This is based on people thinking Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 80's.
I could absolutely see someone talking about Nelson Mandela dying in prison in the 80's, getting called out on their stupidity and then trying to bullshit out of it with tales of alternate realities influencing their memories.
I would never think anyone would believe them and it would become a thing people talk about for a little while.

It is wild that some people literally believe that there are universes upon universes and all kinds of f***ery afoot instead of accepting the fallible nature of human memory. I know some people just use it as a shorthand to mean "Man, I used to think it was this but it's actually this" but not enough for comfort.

Coincidentally (or maybe not) the Game Grumps talked about this today in one of their episodes.

The announcer on Fox Kids referred to the five-part television episodic edit of the movie as "How I Spent My Summer Vacation." Given we heard that title aloud in that instant more than any other way at an impressionable age, that's why we misremember it. Announcers mispronouncing is what lead to BerenstEin as the incorrect pronunciation becoming so widespread .

This happens to me a lot when it comes to The Simpsons. One example is Bart the General, where I thought there was a scene after Homers failed advice where Marge tells Bart again to just talk to Nelson and he agrees, which then leads to the part where Bart arrives home in the trash can.

Isn't Nelson Mandela's biggest claim to fame the fact that he was the first democratically elected president of South Africa? It's like saying "I could've sworn that Neil Armstrong died in a flight training accident in 1967". Why would you even think that?!

The kids show "Lamb Chop's Play Along" always ended with the character Charlie Horse singing a song called "The Song That Never Ends". Except it didn't. I looked this song up recently and apparently it was "The Song That Doesn't End". What?!?! I swore it was "Never Ends". I looked to see if there was an alternate version with never but couldn't find anything. It's weird cause I used to always turn the TV up as loud as I could at those parts. So you'd think I'd remember it.

Actually his biggest claim to fame is ending the Apartheid system in South Africa. What you said was like saying Gandhi's biggest accomplishment was being Time's Man of the Year. Yeah, it's not for everyone but there's a bigger thing that led to that.
