Fulci's Zombi - When the hand charges through the door to grab the doctor's wife.
Eventhough I haven't seen any of the Grudge films, american or japanese, I have to agree that those little kids are TERRIFYING.

My mother jumped during "Lake Placid" when the alligator/crocodile/whatever they said it was popped up and ate the bear. First time I have ever seen her shocked by a film. I thought it was funny.
I am a big wuss. Just about any jump scene can get me.

I'll throw in as well:
Ringu: The cursed tapoe and the ending. I was afraid of my TV for a week after that.
Dark Water (Original): When they take the elevator down and see the little girl in the doorway. Creepy as all hell.
A Tale Of Two Sisters: Especially the Woman In The Room scene and "...there was a girl under the sink". The ending with the stepmother and the closet is also absolutely terrifying, even if you know what's coming.
Session 9: Especially the end.

JU-ON: the grudge - a woman is being followed by the "death thing" and in her flat starts to watch TV, but it starts crackling and the Image on the screen (a woman reporter) starts to distort in to a wierd face and the TV made the noise the "killer thing makes". she then looks under her bed covers and the ghost girl is in there and pulls her down into the bed. Just cuz I feel like posting stuff from that... It was also cool in the American version Did I mention I love this series? ;D Lovely stuff It's WAY WAY scarier in the movie.

Can't believe I forgot this one:
Deliverance: The end, with the hand slowly rising out of the water. I saw this movie as a kid and it scarred me for life.

But for some reason, that part scared the crap out of me. I didn't really find it confusing, just rather banal. When you start explaining horror it loses it's scariness.

don't worry vitamin z i was a little confused by silent hill too. like ok the monsters come with the darkness but the acid spitting creature was encountered in the light. Also the ending so what happened the mom made a deal with the devil and the devil screwed her over is that what was supposed to of happened?

For those of you who've ever seen Phantasm II, the movie itself wasn't that scary, but I remember the end scene made me jump a bit.
The main character and his girlfriend escape the Tall Man's funeral home, and they hop into the back of his hearse, and the guy says somethng along the lines of "It's only a dream."
Then the door flings open and the Tall Man's there, and he says "No. It's not", and then credits.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter: Tommy's blank face at the end was almost as scary as the endings to the first two.
Cat's Eye: The little 3 inch terror steals the girl's breath.

2 Scenes in Aliens, The scene where the marines are in the main hive bit and the alien attack (the bit where the alien comes out the wall to grab the chick is very freaky ) and, The scene where the survivors are sealed in the room but the motion trackers are telling them that the aliens must be in the room..and the relise they're in the ceiling crawlspace (the bit where Hicks looks up with the flashlight and all you see are horde of aliens..wow)

I just finished watching "Fright night 1 & 2" and they have some creepy moments.
Part 1 - When Charlie first sees Dandridge going to kill his victim, He notices him. - When Dandridge is chasing Evil ed through the Alleyway
Part 2
- When the roller skating Vampire kills the woman on her own on the street
I am watching Horrors while i have the house to myself (Parents on Holiday), Next up JU-ON.
