Somehow, HoHo Lun will end up winning the whole thing. I'd be ok with that.

Last year's Rumble was pretty good
- AJ showing up early on and kicking ass in a WWE ring - Jericho's performance as the man who believes he's the outright favourite to win, right till he gets caught off guard and eliminated (after 50 mins, admittedly) - The Reigns stuff storyline stuff, while annoying, is cut to about 90 seconds midway through, which gets him out of the way. - We actually had "matches" made out of it, with the Zayn v Owens feud coming back, Ambrose taking on HHH, AJ v Reigns, Ambrose v Jericho, all PPV matches later in the year. - The Brothers of Rumble Murder from 2015 - Big Show and Kane - were reunited in the match, only for Braun to come out and kill both within 20 seconds. - The Wyatts working together, only for Brock to wreck their shit, and for them to KO Brock - that the Mania match got nixed due to fan Ambrose love is neither here nor there about the Rumble itself. - That they seem to have learned their Bryan lessons. ie AJ is the main guy for the first half hour. He gets eliminated. Immediately out comes Dean Ambrose, and then right after that, Sami Zayn. When zayn gets eliminated and the crowd start to complain, out comes Brock. And so on.
It was booked like a proper rumble, and even if it wont hold up in years to come like the best of the 90s/00s, and people hate the winner (I don't mind him), it was a refreshing breath of fresh air after the panicked mess of 2015.

Well with Lesnar and Goldberg in the thing I can't see the ring filling up too much. Who knows though, maybe they will both eliminate eachother and James Ellsworth can be the next entrance and run around the ring like he won the match. Yeah I don't know how they're gonna do this. Between Lesnar, Goldberg, Braun, and probably Kane and Show, those are a lot of "come out and toss a bunch of dudes out" spots. Can't see the ring getting too filled at any point.

Lesnar and Goldberg will draw spots from 20 onwards. Braun will be out late too, to showdown with those two, and also because I see him in at the end, and they don't want to kill him by making him go 30 mins plus. Kane and Show, should they appear, will be cannon fodder for the three named above. They might get their obligatory elimination or two.
Which gives the first half of the rumble as space for the match to build up people. Anyhow, it's difficult to tell before hand if they're in 2002/2010 or 1998/2009 mood going into the structure of the match.

I don't really give a damn. It's the M'Fn Rumble. I'll watch it, regardless. And it costs me less money than it did pre-Network. Good or bad, I'll come on here, start a poll about the show's highlights, then have a glass of wine.

Yes because they need to take away the automatic "gets to headline Wrestlemania" RULE. They've written it in as a rule now. Title shot or whatever is great. But headlining Wrestlemania as the automatic? It takes away any of the mystery as they're not going to book themselves into anything risky. So you have two of the biggest events (Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania) where you tell your audience that everyone else is just a bunch of chumps in front the highest viewing audiences and then those chumps are expected to bring in ratings or 11-12 other PPVs/Supershows. And then the cycle continues.
I'd really like to see a lot more stakes in developing the undercard in the Rumble and setting up rivalries and unexpected showdowns. Takes away from the disappointment of only two or three guys that can actually win it.

I believe so, for two reasons. One: The gamer matrix can be applied. Two: It's honestly the most likely scenario.

I don't care about the outcome as much as them just getting their heads on straight; a lot of the past few Rumbles haven't been as well put together as they should be, with top guys getting garbage eliminations and the weird decisions of where to put what. Kofi's once a year "saved from elimination" spot should not have taken place in its entirety while Roman Reigns was the focal point of the cameras just from a general standpoint of making sure that the big Things That Happen are spread out to have their own time to be dwelled on. I'm hoping they have things more ironed out this year.

Last year's didn't bug me, I liked the structure and I get why they went with H. 2015 had terrible structure and a lame duck winner. One of the worst Rumble matches of all time.

The Rumble was great last year.
2015, 2014 and 2012 are the only ones in the past 10 years I didn't enjoy and not because of the winners, I just didn't think the overall match was any good those years.

I'm far from a negative WWE fan but I'd go so far as to say the last Rumble winner that felt like a big deal was Edge in 2010. DB would have been in 2014, obviously.

Yes. There are more wrestlers employed by WWE that I'd want to see in the rumble than there are available places. To make matters worse several I don't want to see in the match are pretty much guaranteed a spot too.
In addition I'll want a couple of surprise entrants.
Basically WWE can't win no matter what they do, somebody I want in the match won't be and I'll be disappointed.
That said if they finally give a left-field choice that I approve of the win then I'll forgive almost anything*, however Santino was the big chance to do that they blew it.
*Assuming it's not 2015 bad of course

It's hard to screw up a Rumble, as they're usually fun matches regardless of the winner. 2015 though was VERY miserable once Bryan went out.

The winner will not be universally liked regardless of who he is. That's why I say give it to Braun and turn off the Facebook comments.
