I'm not even excited about next season honestly. Why should I care about which 30 NFL teams are fighting for the right to be AFC runners up and NFL runners up to the Patriots? And I'm not saying this to get hot clicks or troll. I really mean it when I say this: I feel that it's almost not worth putting myself through 4 months of seeing who will come up second best to Brady/Belichick. I feel like I've been worn down by the Patriots dynasty to the point where I can't even get excited about anyone else going forward. Seriously, why should I care about being a fan of a team not named the New England Patriots? To prematurely get my hopes up only to get smacked by 20+ points twice a year as usual by His Bradyness? Until Brady/Belichick retire, I'm not going to fervently root on the NFL as passionately as I once did Sports happens. You wouldn't be sayin the same thing if your team lucked into being the best ever. He's a Bills fan. Right now he'd settle for consistently decent

Don't worry Unocal the Patriots won't win it again. Next season is the Chiefs year I can feel it.

Basically this is it, also add into the fact that the Falcons were constantly blitzing, couple that with the fact that the defense couldn't get off the field in the second half and you have the reason for the collapse. The Patriots basically played rope a dope with the Falcons defense until they were completely exhausted and couldn't stop anything. I definitely agree, the most surprised fact is the Patriots managed to shut down the Falcons offense in the second half. I'm not even sure how the heck you do that with all of the weapons on that offense. The Falcons should have been able to consistently run the ball and use up the clock. Apparently after going up 28-3 in the 3rd quarter, the Falcons only ran the ball 5 times the rest of the game. That is just mind-boggling. That is just ridiculous, especially considering they have Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman as their running backs. Shanahan's play calling in the second half was very questionable.

Freeman is a beast. I paid no attention to the Falcons all season; the first game I watched with them was against Seattle. Both me and my friend were blown away by Freeman. He's got just that slight bit of finesse to him.

I don't know what it is about teams that when they have the Patriots on the ropes, they can never seem to put them away. I mean, are some of these coaches simply out-thinking themselves? Harbaugh with the Ravens, for all the crap I give him, seems to be the only one who has a consistent idea of how you attack them

Some people I've seen said that the Falcons didn't run Freeman much in the second half because of his size.
I don't believe that myself but if that's the case, then Shanahan needs to be tested for short-term memory loss. Freeman gashed the Patriots defense all first half.

Sports happens. You wouldn't be sayin the same thing if your team lucked into being the best ever. He's a Bills fan. Right now he'd settle for consistently decent Consistently decent? Please. I'd give an arm and a leg just to lose by 10 points in a noon Wild Card game. Heck, I just want to play in a different division instead of having to deal with you-know-who.

I was shadowing on a college radio sports show a couple of years ago the morning after the Patriots-Kansas City game where the Pats got their asses handed to them.
Proud to say that when they let me in on a roundtable discussion near the end of the show, I was the only one between the four of us who thought everything would be fine in New England and Brady wasn't done.

Someone stole Brady's game jersey and state officials have asked the Texas Rangers (LEO unit, not MLB) to investigate because of how important hospitality and football are to the state. It is like having the FBI look for it. Could it be the Russians? Putin allegedly had Kraft's SB39 ring.

Teams have come from a 3-1 deficit before but no football team has ever come from 25 points down in the Super Bowl before.
