Actually, it's a combo of that and keeping them within easy-to-manage-and-mod parameters.

Do private messages count in your post count? I don't believe so. They shouldn't, as they're not made out on the public board.

How do some guys get two avatars? Spike has put in pics in place of custom titles for some posters.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but I don't know the answer: How come TNA doesn't have it's own forum here on the wc?

I, However think the rules are good. The Language filters are a little tight other than that I can't seem to think of any problems. I swear like a drunken sailor in real life, but I agree with the filters. And I'd like to point out that we had to make the filters because people couldn't behave.

The racoon filter is a nescessity since someone decide to drag out a racial slur.
Everybody say thanks to the racist.

Wait, I found a smaller one!!! It's more letter sized... EDIT: rac s are cute. Just testing it. I really think we should take the coon down to the one above. It would fit with the words better. I do like ST's puppies, though. I saw that one, but couldn't get it to display.

Honestly, and I think this may just be me, but sometimes methinks there may be too many folks here to have all the love from before. When there were a LOT less members, there were less of the "aggressive" types, I guess. Some of the new members are fine by me, but there are others who seem to want to bash nearly everything and everyone. That\'s my opinion for the day hour minute. If that was it, I\'d much easier shrug my shoulders and think "Oh, well. They\'re new and aren\'t into the swing of things yet." But for some reason some of the malcontents are veteran posters. People that\'s been around forever who suddenly decide that the rules are an oppression of their basic liberties. Where is this coming from, people? I thought maybe it was just me, because when you take a position like admin, you do put a big target on yourself as everything is now your fault. It\'s okay. I can take it. I just don\'t understand it. Hey D, im sure you\'re not my biggest fan and probably think im someone im not. but whatever. since you go through the trouble of answering our questions, i figured id answer yours (what with my lurking since the old board, and what i can pull from sanchez when i talk messageboard stuff with him). i think (just my opinion) that the biggest problem the veteran members have with WC now days is the huge change in attitude and atmosphere around here. I know that when I first started reading the board way back in the EZBoard days, the WC board was alot more like a small group of friends who all got along (except you and asics ) and could talk about wrestling while respecting eachothers opinions. now days this has become the land of 50,000 angry posters with 2 or 3 posts. and that really brings the whole mood and atmosphere of this place down a few notches. now days you cant bring up an differing opinion without getting s*** on and called a troll. and that takes all the fun out of posting. to add to all of that, theres the problem of people assuming things that arent true. when people say things like \"screwtape was nothing but a troll\" etc etc etc, its really disheartening to the people who read the board while he was here. and the fact that so many former posters have been back under other identities (Sanchez, Jack, HKK, etc etc etc) its hard for a genuinely new poster like myself to get a good footing here when damn near any post of mine is preceded by things like \"you sure do know alot for a new poster\". theres alot of elements that have taken the fun out of posting here, it just dosent feel like it used to when i lurked oh yeah, and we dont see enough ShacMasta

It's been a rough few weeks lately. Things will settle down again.
And it's usually for the best to not talk about people who aren't on the board anymore (for whatever reason) because they're not here to defend themselves.

Good points all around. What I always liked about this board was that it wasn't the tightknit group of friends that's impossible to penetrate and become a part of. IMO that's the problem with 99% of all message boards. New posters are ignored or made fun of because of the core members who all know each other so well and constantly talk in jokes and private stuff. It's only natural with a forum this large that people relate and stick to people they know and recognise. It's why there are so many board factions: people want to belong, to have a base. This is how the board has evolved. Nothing really to do about it, except accept it and adapt to the new situation. Waiting to Fry is 100000000% right. On everything he said. The WWE Current wasnt such a joke. That also changed about here. And I like the atmosphere of closely nit group. Why do you think I LOVE KPW? This board needs a new atmosphere, some rules need to be changed. But thats up to the mods. Things could get better round here, but they are not. And we have to live with it. So what you are saying is the board should be changed around to suit your needs? Sorry, but it's the job of the staff to make this the best possible board for the largest amount of people. Not just the best possible board for the people that found it first and complain the most.

Not just my needs. I think alot of people would enjoy if some things were changed. But meh, i dont care. Cause if everyone liked this board why would people doing things ot get them banned? SOmething to feed on Well, some people would enjoy if things were changed. Others would complain. Pretty much why we have to run it the way we see it. Trying to please everyone is impossible and frustrating.

I'm curious, what would be an example of something that could change so that people would stop doing things to get themselves banned-- that part I don't I buy for a second, because if you're so hellbent on "fighting the power" or acting like an idiot you're gonna get yourself banned, you're going to do so anyway regardless of any rules.
That aside though, I'm curious to hear a specific change that would 'improve' things.

Lemme clean the thread, and I think we should keep it here.
But yeah, I'm curious as to what a actual benificial change would be as well. And please, think it through. Getting rid of the filters and allowing porn is not an option.

Well, one beneficial thing in my view would be adding 1-2 more subforums. I know, I know, "No more sub-forums!" But it would really clean up the other forums (all of them!) to move all non-KPW tournaments to a Tournaments forum, and to possibly make a "Sports Talk" forum.
As it's been said many times, this site is not Wrestlecrap, it's the forums. If it were Wrestlecrap, it would have cursing and other language and media that is not allowed here. With that in mind, I don't expect Wrestlecrap.com to open a "Sports" or "Tournaments" section, but that doesn't mean those sections are irrelevant here when the userbase has evolved and changed as much as the site has in it's own right.
